Another big launch leaked a day before release. I'm not going to pile on - I have seen enough release cycles to know that protection is the first thing squeezed when the ship date doesn't move. But the detail worth noticing: the build went out with store-level DRM and no real anti-tamper. That's not a studio failure. That's what happens when hardening is a manual, pre-launch scramble instead of something the pipeline does on every build. This is the part our customers have changed. With agentic AI in the release process, protection isn't a checklist someone gets to on Friday — agents decide what to obfuscate and harden, apply it at build time, and watch for tampering in the wild the moment the app ships. Same deadlines. Higher bar. If your release date is fixed, your protection can't be optional. Read the full article. https://lnkd.in/gWfNRHUa

AI is fundamentally changing the speed at which companies can experiment, build and innovate. In my recent conversation with Brian Goffman of TPG, he shared examples of teams testing an idea in the morning, learning from it, and shipping improvements that same afternoon. That’s a remarkable change—and it gets to the heart of what I’ve been calling the Fourth Wave of software development. AI has dramatically accelerated the creation of software, but in most instances the rest of the enterprise has not kept pace. Planning, testing, security, and delivery all need to operate at a fundamentally different pace if companies are going to capture the full value of AI. And as more of that work shifts to AI and agents, one thing doesn’t change: accountability still sits with the humans running the company. Brian and I covered a lot of ground on what he’s seeing across the market, how AI is changing the way companies operate, and what leaders should be thinking about as this next wave takes shape. Great conversation with a lot of practical insight from someone with a unique vantage point across the industry. Link below, check it out!

✨ Great week at STARWEST 2026 in Anaheim! The highlight wasn’t just the technology—it was the conversations with testing and quality leaders about how quickly the landscape is evolving. AI is changing how software is built, tested, and released, creating new opportunities—and new expectations—for quality teams. Congratulations to Panneer Selvam Victor Jacob who won our Digital.ai Dotty’s video game challenge demonstrating Intent-based AI generation system vs. dependable deterministic outcomes. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with the Digital.ai team, share what you’re working on, and talk about what’s next for software testing and quality engineering. #STARWEST #SoftwareTesting #QualityEngineering #AI #ContinuousTesting #DigitalAI #QATesting #AppSec

Atlassian's State of AI SDLC laid out a clear direction: the future of software is AI-native, and it's being built in the cloud. That's good news for most enterprises. For regulated ones, it's a problem. Jira Data Center reaches end of life on March 28, 2029, after which all instances go read-only. But the date that belongs on your roadmap isn't 2029. It's March 2028, when license expansions stop for existing customers. That's 18 months to make a platform decision, not three years. And "just move to Jira Cloud" isn't a decision every enterprise can make. If you operate air-gapped, under FedRAMP, or inside data sovereignty requirements that rule out public cloud, the cloud migration path doesn't exist for you. Digital.ai Agility was built for that constraint. Team and portfolio-level Agile planning, deployable on-prem, air-gapped, and in FedRAMP environments. And because Agility integrates with Jira, you can phase the transition; run in parallel, migrate program by program, and keep teams delivering the entire way. As AI changes the SDLC, the question isn't where to move Jira. It's whether your Agile planning platform can operate where your business is required to operate. If March 2028 is closer than your migration plan, start with an assessment — current Jira instances, workflows, fields, integrations, and hosting constraints mapped against a phased wave plan. 👉 Request a migration assessment: https://lnkd.in/ep_bajD3 #StateOfAISDLC #JiraDataCenter #EnterpriseAgile #AgilePlanning #FedRAMP

For decades, build vs. buy has been one of the defining questions in enterprise software. In the AI era, that debate has reached a new level. Vibe coding and AI-assisted development are making it faster and cheaper than ever to build software—raising the bar for what enterprise software providers need to deliver. Clear ROI. Faster time to value. Accelerated and ongoing innovation. World-class support. Differentiated capabilities that are difficult to replicate and more.... The question for software companies is increasingly simple: In the AI era are we delivering enough differentiated value to make buying the obvious choice over building? On October 2, I’m joining a 30-minute lightning talk with Carrie Osman of Cruxy and Mike Slater from The Carlyle Group to dig into how enterprise software companies can make "buy" the clear choice. We’ll explore: -Where build vs. buy is changing—and what buyers are really weighing -How pricing and positioning need to evolve as the cost of building falls -What software companies need to do to continually earn the “buy” -What these shifts could mean for software valuations and exit stories 👉 Join the conversation: https://luma.com/uyd7dfj8

The EAA has been enforced for a year. U.S. accessibility lawsuits just hit a record high (On pace to top 6,000 filings in 2026.) Here's the pattern behind it: running a scan isn't the same as proving one ran. When results sit in a disconnected dashboard, "which scan, which build, which device" turns into a reconstruction project instead of a quick answer. AI now writing 40-50% of enterprise code only widens that gap sprint over sprint. Compliance debt compounds quietly — until an audit, a lawsuit, or a stalled deal forces the question. More on what's driving the gap, and what closing it actually requires -> link in comments. #Accessibility #EAA #WCAG
