Great share by: Rashi Kapoor Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ We all want to have a better life. We want peace in our mind. We all need to find our ways to deal with our stresses and anxieties. We need to build the following habits to feel better from within. Practicing gratitude each day can help us to be thankful. Movement is extremely important. Having trustworthy people to talk to, eating healthy food, sleeping on time, staying hydrated, keeping your mind positive each day, taking breaks when feeling overwhelmed are some of the habits that we all need to develop to do our work properly, enjoy our life, have peace in our mind and feel happy from within. Let’s learn to control our mind to have control over our life before our mind starts taking control over our life. We rarely give credit to the people who manage their own energy. Great share by: Chris Laping Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ We rarely give credit to the people who manage their own energy. It's quiet work. Invisible, mostly. The ones who walk in heavy and still ask how you're doing. Who feel the frustration and answer evenly anyway. Who catch themselves getting short and soften before they hit send. Who let the hard morning stop at their own door. The ones people are glad to see on the calendar invite. Who feel like relief, not one more task. People lean toward that kind of calm without ever knowing why. A loud mood fills the room. A steady one makes it safe. -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :). Follow if you want to sharpen those skills.

Great communities leave people feeling better than when they arrived. Great share by: Kelly Mackenzie 🐻❄️ Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Great communities leave people feeling better than when they arrived. That's something I've thought about a lot over the last year. When I started People Like Me, I just wanted to create the kind of room I'd always wanted to walk into. One where people could skip the awkward introductions and have honest conversations. And meet people they genuinely wanted to stay in touch with. Because a community that is actually benefical takes more than a handful of people showing up to an event. You need people to leave feeling like their time mattered. I've found there are 6 simple ways to create that feeling. 1. Support Help people move forward. Celebrate their progress and be generous with encouragement. 2. Innovate and Expand Share ideas that help people think differently. Introduce perspectives they might not have found on their own. 3. Educate Pass on what you've learned. The most valuable communities make people feel more capable than when they arrived. 4. Re-Resonate Keep coming back to the ideas that matter. People rarely need to hear something just once before it sticks. 5. Follow Show up consistently. Support other people, contribute and be part of the community yourself. 6. Connect Create introductions. Bring people together. Because some of the best opportunities begin with someone simply saying, "You two should meet." I've realised my role at our events is less about trying to be the centre of the community. And rather to support creating the conditions for other people to build relationships with each other. Because that's when a community starts to take on a life of its own. By the way... Every month, a community of like-minded women and I come together with the goal of making the branding and marketing world a little more fun and networking a lot less awkward! What would become possible for you if you replaced every "I can't" with "I will learn"? Great share by: Galina Yordanova Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ What would become possible for you if you replaced every "I can't" with "I will learn"? 🌱 Three words. Completely different futures. "I can't" is a conclusion. "I will learn" is a beginning. 💛 And the distance between those two phrases is not talent, or intelligence, or circumstance. It is mindset. 💭 I've watched this shift change people quietly, completely and irreversibly. The leader who said "I can't give feedback”, and learned to do it with care and precision. The professional who said "I can't speak in public" and found a voice that moved rooms. The founder who said "I can't build this" and built it anyway, one learning at a time. 🌿 None of them started with certainty. They started with the decision to stay curious instead of staying stuck. ✨ ↳ "I can't" protects you from failure, and from everything failure would have taught you 🔍 ↳ "I will learn" is not naive optimism. It is the most strategically intelligent response to any gap between where you are and where you want to be 🧭 ↳ The cultures that grow fastest are the ones where "I don't know yet" is celebrated, not penalised 🌟 ↳ And the leaders who model this shift, who say "I'm still learning" openly, give their entire team permission to do the same 🤝 Growth is never about knowing everything. It is about refusing to let "not yet" become "never." 💪 The mindset shift is small. The life change is not. 💫 What is something you once said "I can't" about that you now do with confidence? 🦋👇 -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :). 10 things high performers do that have nothing to do with talent Great share by: Lukas Stangl Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 10 things high performers do that have nothing to do with talent: None of it is talent. It's a handful of habits, repeated until they're automatic. 1/ Say no. Every yes to the wrong thing costs a yes to the right one. 2/ Sleep well. They treat rest as training, not weakness. 3/ Manage energy. They guard their peak hours for their hardest work. 4/ Stay disciplined. Motivation gets them started. Systems keep them going. 5/ Prioritize effectively. They know the difference between busy and productive. 6/ Master their schedule. They run the day before it runs them. 7/ Pursue lifelong learning. They stay curious long after the diploma. 8/ Make stress work for them. Pressure sharpens them instead of scattering them. 9/ Remain rationally optimistic. They expect problems and still expect to win. 10/ Build emotional intelligence. They read the room before they read the metrics. Talent gets attention. These habits get results. Master one, then stack the next. -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :). Follow if you want to sharpen those skills.

If nothing changes after a 1:1, you've wasted half an hour. Great share by: Emma J E. Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ If nothing changes after a 1:1, you've wasted half an hour. I'm ruthless about this with everyone on my team: A meeting where someone talks for 20 minutes and lands on nothing is the bane of my existence. That's why I run my 1:1s as walking meetings with a fixed end point. When people know the conversation ends at the next corner, they get to the point. But that format is only half the job. I also make sure every question is serving a purpose. These are the ones I make sure to ask in every 1:1 👇 1️⃣ What's the one thing I can do this month to make your job easier? ↳ Puts you in service of your team and shows whose side you're on. 2️⃣ What's getting in the way of your best work right now? ↳ Surfaces the obstacles you'd never hear in a group meeting. 3️⃣ What are you most proud of since we last spoke? ↳ Builds the habit of recognising progress, not just chasing problems. 4️⃣ Is there anything you're worried about? ↳ Deals with a molehill of doubt before it becomes a mountain. 5️⃣ What do you want to be doing more of? ↳ In tech, people make enough money. What keeps them is doing more of what lights them up. 6️⃣ How are you feeling about where things are headed? ↳ Gets you the honest answer before the resignation letter does. 7️⃣ Is there anything I'm doing that's making your job harder? ↳ Feedback is the only way to change how you lead for the better. Asking the wrong questions is the reason so many brilliant hires fail in the first year. Someone who always spoke up goes quiet, everyone assumes they're fine, and six months later they're gone. The signs were there, but nobody asked. The best leaders don't wait for the exit interview to find out what was wrong. They ask early, while there's still time to do something about the answers. P.S. The best retention strategy is hiring the right person in the first place. I have a free hiring guide with the exact process I've used to place candidates for 20 years. 📌 Grab the full playbook here: https://lnkd.in/e2G7krZk -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :). Big and fancy speeches never built trust with my team. Great share by: Alvin Huang Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Big and fancy speeches never built trust with my team. These 8 specific phrases, repeated often, did. The moments that build or break trust seldom happen near a review or an all-hands meeting. Instead, they happen in those two-line Slack messages you don't think before typing, or that quick call that lasts less than 10 minutes. These are the moments that make up the majority of an employee's day, and if you get the words wrong here, the person remembers it for months. Running a 60+ person team taught me to get specific about the exact words I use, and not just the intent behind them. A great culture deck can say all the right things. But if the everyday language doesn't match it, nobody buys it. These are the phrases I use most with my team: 1️⃣ Acknowledge the effort ↳ "I noticed the extra effort on this. Thank you." 2️⃣ Own being wrong ↳ "You're right, and I should have listened sooner." 3️⃣ Protect their time ↳ "Take the day. This will still be here tomorrow." 4️⃣ Say the goal out loud ↳ "I want you capable of running this without me one day." 5️⃣ Ask if you're the obstacle ↳ "Tell me if I'm in your way." 6️⃣ Hand over real ownership ↳ "You don't need to check with me on this." 7️⃣ Ask what's actually blocking them ↳ "What's slowing you down that I can actually fix?" 8️⃣ Make bad news safe ↳ "I'd rather you tell me the bad news first." The words a leader uses in ordinary moments decide how much a team trusts them in hard ones. Leaders who only save the right words for big moments lose the trust slowly in small moments throughout the day. But the leaders who use them daily end up with a team that stays, and tells them the truth. What's the one phrase used in your workplace that helps you work better? P.S. The Vault has more of the frameworks and language I use to lead a 70+ person team at Truegenics. 📌 Download for FREE: https://bit.ly/41fp7nY (Updated with 30+ cheatsheets!!) ♻️ Repost this if you know a leader who's building a team that actually trusts them. 🔔 Follow Alvin Huang for more on leadership, trust, and building teams that stay. -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :) Follow if you want to sharpen those skills.

You might want the easy reward right now. Great share by: Felix Bertram Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ You might want the easy reward right now. Your future self wants something more fulfilling. When we're tired or have a spare moment, we're naturally drawn towards what gives us the quickest reward. And right now, our phones normally do the job. Scrolling almost takes no effort. There's always something new to give your brain that quick dopamine burst. It doesn't help that phones are so tied into our lives as well. I work from my mine, answer emails, and keep in touch with people. Reaching for it during my downtime became an automatic response. But once, when I was travelling, only the accommodation had Wi-Fi. So I decided to leave my phone there while I was exploring. I wasn't going to stay in one spot, so I decided to leave my phone behind. For the first few days, I kept wanting to reach for it at every moment. But afterwards, I realised that I was in the middle of breaking an old habit. I've been thinking a lot about what habits truly fulfil us ever since. Most of them take more effort upfront: Going for a walk means getting off the sofa. Learning something new means giving it your full attention. Seeing a friend means finding a time that works for both of you. But the satisfaction tends to stay for a lot longer. There are a few swaps you can try: ❌ Scrolling without thinking ✅ Going for a walk ❌ Snacking out of boredom ✅ Cooking a good meal ❌ Comparing yourself online ✅ Spending time with friends ❌ Switching between tasks ✅ Focusing on one thing ❌ Watching other people's lives ✅ Creating something yourself ❌ Chasing the next trend ✅ Making progress on a goal Pay attention to what you reach for when you have a spare moment. If it's always the quickest reward, try something that will feel better in the long run. I've included a few more ideas in the image. Save it for later! Pick one to try this week and see how you feel afterwards. ♻️ Share this post if you know it can help someone else. -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :). 21 ways smart people handle difficult conversations Great share by: Dr. Carolyn Frost Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Stop dreading tough talks. Master them with these 21 phrases instead: I once snapped when a colleague questioned my timeline. My defensive reaction created a week of tension. We've all been there: Feeling defensive Reacting without thinking Watching a simple disagreement turn into a lasting conflict But I've learned the shift from reactive to constructive changes everything ✨ 21 ways smart people handle difficult conversations: 1) Lead with Curiosity ↳ "Tell me more about your perspective on this" ↳ Questions defuse tension faster than statements 2) Name the Energy ↳ "I notice there's tension here, let's address it" ↳ Acknowledgment creates safety 3) Find Common Ground ↳ "We both want what's best for the project" ↳ Alignment before action 4) Set Clear Expectations ↳ "Here's what I need, what do you need?" ↳ Clarity prevents future conflict 5) Pause the Escalation ↳ "Let's take a step back and break this down" ↳ Breathing room creates solutions 6) Mirror Their Language ↳ Use their exact key words when responding ↳ Matching builds instant connection 7) Acknowledge Impact ↳ "I see how this affects your priorities" ↳ Understanding beats defense 8) Own Your Part ↳ "Here's where I could have done better" ↳ Accountability creates trust 9) Focus Forward ↳ "How can we prevent this next time?" ↳ Solutions beat blame 10) Check Understanding ↳ "Here's what I'm hearing - am I getting it right?" ↳ Clarity prevents escalation 11) Create Space ↳ "Let's revisit this when we're both fresh" ↳ Time transforms tension 12) Stay on Topic ↳ "Let's focus on solving this specific issue" ↳ Boundaries keep talks productive 13) Express Confidence ↳ "I know we can figure this out together" ↳ Belief shifts energy 14) Share Context ↳ "Here's what led to my decision" ↳ Understanding reduces resistance 15) Invite Solutions ↳ "What ideas do you have for this?" ↳ Collaboration beats control 16) Set Timelines ↳ "When should we check in on this?" ↳ Structure creates safety 17) Validate Concerns ↳ "That's a legitimate worry - let's address it" ↳ Recognition reduces defense 18) Stay Factual ↳ "Here's what the data shows us" ↳ Evidence beats emotion 19) Close with Action ↳ "Let's clarify next steps together" ↳ Progress prevents repeat issues 20) Follow Through ↳ "As we discussed, here's what I've done" ↳ Action builds credibility 21) Document Growth ↳ "Here's how we'll work differently now" ↳ Learning beats repeating Difficult conversations aren't obstacles to success. They're the moments where true connection happens ✨ Which strategy will you try in your next challenging conversation? -------------- DM us to be featured on our next post Your best asset is your Emotional Intelligence :).

The people who act the most important are usually forgotten the fastest. Great share by: Chase Dimond Original post below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ The people who act the most important are usually forgotten the fastest. Because titles impress people temporarily. Character stays in their memory much longer. I’ve met leaders with incredible resumes who made every interaction feel cold and transactional. And I’ve met people with no impressive title at all who left a lasting impact simply because of how they treated others. That difference matters more than most people realize. At the end of the day, people remember: Who respected them. Who listened. Who made them feel valued. Who stayed kind even when there was nothing to gain. Positions change. Power changes. Industries change. But reputation follows you everywhere. And honestly, I think emotional intelligence is becoming one of the most valuable skills in modern business. What’s one quality that instantly makes you respect someone professionally?
