First Citizens Bank today announced that Christopher Day has joined its Middle Market Banking business as a managing director based in Southern California. Day will lead strategic growth and client development across the greater Los Angeles region, reporting to Katrin Engel, area executive and managing director. “We’re pleased to welcome Chris to the team,” Engel said. “His extensive industry knowledge and strong relationship-driven approach will be a valuable asset as we expand our commitment to delivering thoughtful, tailored solutions to middle-market clients in Southern California and beyond.” Day began his career at CIBC in Canada and later held senior roles at UBS, Credit Suisse and Union Bank, where he supported syndicated finance and commercial banking clients.
