Here's an uncomfortable truth from 200,000+ real lab results on Fullscript: a patient can be "normal", yet nowhere near optimal. We looked across 82,000+ de-identified patient profiles in the Fullscript network. This doesn't diagnose anyone, and it doesn't replace the provider reading the result. It turns individual observations into real-world clinical intelligence, so we can see the patterns and ask better questions. Three things stood out to me: Omega-3 was one of the least-ordered tests, showing up in just 6.3% of profiles, yet 93% of those results came in below the optimal floor. Inflammation drives so much of the chronic disease we see, and this is one of the few levers you can actually measure. Worth ordering more, not guessing at. Magnesium is a reminder that what you measure matters. 88.4% of RBC magnesium results fell below Fullscript's optimal floor, versus 4.4% below the conventional lower limit. Serum magnesium sits in a tightly regulated pool and can read "normal" while the intracellular picture looks very different, something to keep in mind, particularly for patients on long-term PPIs or diuretics. Ferritin showed a significant gap between "normal" and "optimal" in women: 48.5% of female results were below optimal, and most of those sat in a range a standard lab would still call normal. Ferritin reflects total body iron and drops before anemia shows up, so that gap is exactly where the next question lives. One caveat worth stating plainly: these are patients providers chose to test, not the general population. Read it as testing patterns, not prevalence. None of this replaces clinical judgment. It sharpens it. That's the difference between data and intelligence: one piles up, the other changes what you do next. I’m really proud of our team for putting this one together to help providers better understand the patterns emerging in everyday practice. Check out the full report here: https://bit.ly/4hvv20E

Technology should give clinicians more time for the work that matters most: listening, explaining, and building care plans with patients. Yet, as an integrative practice grows, managing treatment plans and supplement recommendations can get more complex. Renew Integrative Wellness integrated Fullscript with Elation to simplify that work, help patients follow through on care plans, and make online ordering and refills more convenient. Wondering how you can preserve that high-touch experience while making treatment-plan management and supplement fulfillment more efficient? Stop thinking of inflammation as a flame that simply "burns out." The resolution of inflammation is an actively regulated biochemical program. When that program fails, patients are left with the persistent, low-grade inflammation that drives cardiometabolic, musculoskeletal, and neuroinflammatory disease. Join us live on Thursday, August 27th at 2:00pm EST for a webinar featuring Dr. Malisa Carullo of Metagenics. What you'll learn: ✅ Why resolution is an active program and how sustained COX inhibition can hinder it. ✅ A 3-Part Clinical Framework on how to modulate initiation, correct omega-3/magnesium status, and support resolution through effective bioactive delivery. ✅ How to appraise current human data for SPMs to set realistic clinical onset expectations. Master the science of the "resolution phase" to better support your chronic patients. Register for free here: https://bit.ly/4hMCx40
