  • Thank you to Torus for partnering with us at GridFWD 2026! Their innovative energy storage solutions and intelligent energy management technologies were a key part of this year’s event. Together with industry leaders, we explored strategies for scaling energy storage and improving grid resilience and energy affordability.   • Congratulations to Pila, winner of the Grid Innovator Pitch Competition at GridFWD 2026! Pila is advancing grid-edge flexibility with a distributed control platform that integrates backup power, energy management and appliance-level intelligence. Designed for easy deployment without rewiring, its solution helps bring smarter energy management to homes, rentals and multifamily buildings while supporting broader grid flexibility. Mark Hormann, Managing Partner at Accurant International and a judge of the competition, noted “Solutions like Pila’s demonstrate how customer energy solutions deployed cost effectively and at scale can help solve the grid capacity challenges quickly.   • Day two of #GridFWD 2026 is underway! We were pleased to welcome Sen. John Curtis (Utah) to kick off the day. After welcoming the GridFWD 2026 audience, Sen. Curtis joined Bryce Yonker for a conversation on meeting growing demand while keeping energy affordable, permitting reform, unlocking grid funding and AI security. He also highlighted a bipartisan Senate permitting package that is nearing completion. And we’re just getting started.   • We're excited to kick off GridFWD 2026 in Snowbird, Utah! This two-day event is exploring the grid-related factors driving costs higher, along with the technology, processes, regulatory and policy changes, and business measures needed to keep electricity affordable for all.
