At Hardwire, our mission is to improve the survivability of humans, and we believe safety starts with education. This program helps provide children with the knowledge and training they need to stay safe in and around water, an especially valuable skill for families living on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Shelby County Public Schools in Kentucky just became the first district in the state to receive ballistic Emergency Response Shields® and we’re honored to be part of that story. 🛡️ The Shelbyville Police Department used funds from drug busts to equip their schools with tools that help protect students, teachers, and staff before first responders arrive, including our Hardwire Emergency Response Shields (ERS®). Today, we celebrate a remarkable milestone, the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. It all began on November 10, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress established the Marines under the administration of the Continental Congress and Commander in Chief George Washington. Their mission: to serve both on land and at sea as an elite fighting force capable of protecting America’s interests wherever needed. From those first battalions raised in Philadelphia’s Tun Tavern, the Marines have become a symbol of discipline, courage, and unwavering commitment. Even after the Revolutionary War, when the original force disbanded, the Marine Corps’ legacy endured, and November 10th became its official birthday. To all who have worn the Eagle, Globe & Anchor: thank you. To those currently serving, thank you. To your families and loved ones, thank you. Your sacrifice, your readiness, your ‘always faithful’ spirit carry forward 250 years of service. Here’s to the next quarter-millennium of honor, courage and commitment.
