What if a study could help reduce rework, strengthen stakeholder engagement and shorten the environmental review timeline on transportation projects, putting you in the best position to succeed? That's what new Transportation Research Board and Federal Highway Administration research found when evaluating the impact of Planning and Environment Linkages (PEL) studies. Led by HDR's team of environmental and economic professionals, and in partnership with CIG Public Relations, the study found that PELs help agencies carry planning decisions into NEPA to keep complex mobility projects moving forward more efficiently. Did you know food waste is the largest source of landfill-bound material in Wisconsin and across the U.S.? During Food Waste Prevention Week, we're sharing insights from our work with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) about one of the biggest waste management challenges today: food waste. We partnered with the state to help them better understand the challenge and achieve its goal of reducing per-capita food waste disposal in landfills by 50% by 2050. The resulting plan is helping Wisconsin advance toward a more sustainable food waste management system. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eG6fV7BA
