Today we're announcing Headline EU VIII, a $400M fund for European founders at Seed and Series A. Together with our $900m Growth strategy we will continue to look for the best European founders to back them from Day 1 through IPO. We've been investing in Europe since the early 2000s. Back then, a founder with global ambition often had to leave Europe to pursue it. Today's founders assume global scale from the first conversation, and they're building things I couldn't have imagined 20 years ago. I trained as an electrical engineer, and the pairing of founder ambition with real technical breakthroughs is what keeps this work exciting for me every day. Foundation models, robotics, and the deep technical work coming out of Europe's labs are giving founders more to build with than ever. If you're starting something ambitious in Europe, we'd love to meet you - and please find more in our article and see the coverage in Handelsblatt if you are German speaking! Thanks to everyone helping on our amazing team that I love being a part of every day - Headline Jonathan Becker Christian Miele Jonathan Userovici Dominic R. Today we are announcing Headline EU VIII, our new $400 million fund for European founders. The mission stays the same: partner early, work closely with the team, and help founders build companies that win globally. The ambition of a founder rarely stops at Europe's borders. That is why we have set up the firm the way we have: $5 billion in assets under management and a $900 million growth fund alongside our local early-stage funds. We can back a company from its first round through to global scale. You can see what that looks like in the founders we work with at Mistral, AMI - Advanced Machine Intelligence, Staffbase, Podimo, Monta and Sereact. This generation of European founders is building and scaling faster than any before. Our job is to help them win bigger. Thank you to our founders, our LPs and the whole Headline team.

Big day for our team at Headline: we’re announcing Headline EU VIII, our new $400 million fund dedicated to European founders. The mission stays the same: partner early, work closely and help founders build on a global scale. A European founder’s ambition rarely stops at Europe’s borders: with $5 billion in assets under management and a $900 million growth fund alongside our early stage fund, we want to support founders from their earliest stages through global leadership. That conviction comes to life through the founders we are lucky to partner with at Mistral AI, Fundamental, AMI labs, Attio, Primo, Notch or Payflows. The new generation of European founders is building & scaling at an unprecedented speed. We will help them win bigger! A huge thank you to our community of founders, LPs and the whole Headline team. It’s a privilege and a pleasure to work alongside such exceptional people. Let’s get to work!

Headline is proud to continue our partnership with Heidi as they announce their $100M Series C. We invested in Heidi less than 2 years ago on the thesis that they wanted to expand healthcare capacity in the world by 2x. Many of the concepts he discussed in our first conversation no one was talking about and are now mainstream knowledge. 3 things were important to Tom. Give doctors more time back, be a global business, and give every doctor in the world access to cutting edge AI. Since then they have become one of the fastest growing health care companies of all time. Partnering with Dr. Thomas Kelly, Waleed Mussa, Yu Liu and the rest of the Heidi team was one of the best decisions of my life. All of us at Headline are excited to continue the journey with the entire Heidi team! https://lnkd.in/gAHP6TFC

The Cursor moment has arrived for IT teams. IT teams have been left behind for too long. Primo is changing that. Today, Primo announces its $8M Seed round, which we’re leading alongside GFC (with my good friend David Sainteff), and launches its first AI agents for IT. The team has built impressive momentum: 400+ customers across 10 countries, with revenue growing >4x since last year. From AI companies like Attio and Dust to PE-backed leaders like Skello and LumApps, Primo is earning the trust of businesses whose IT needs grow more complex as they scale. Now comes the next chapter: agentic IT. While other functions have gained AI tools to multiply their impact, IT teams still spend far too much time provisioning laptops, managing access, chasing tickets, and stitching together disconnected tools. I’ve long believed the winning IT platform would give teams the context and intelligence to run proactively. Last week, the Primo team gave us a demo of their agents, and we saw that vision coming to life. Primo brings devices, SaaS, access, security, purchasing, and ticketing together in one platform. That shared context gives its agents the ability to identify issues, make decisions, and get the work done, with IT teams retaining control. Every new hire, role change, or departure triggers work across multiple systems. Primo’s ambition is to let IT teams delegate those entire processes and focus on what needs their judgment. As an investor, few things are more fulfilling than seeing a product unlock what an entire function can achieve. The $8M round is a milestone. The agents going live today are only the beginning. Congratulations Martin Pannier, Benoît Bourdel Olivier Nairey, and the entire Primo team. We’re incredibly proud to keep building with you!

Building the security layer for Physical AI | Founder & CEO @ Exein

My turn now...$270M. $1.7B valuation. Exein is now a unicorn. 🦄 And with this round, we become the most valuable cybersecurity startup in Europe. But today, more than the numbers, I keep thinking about a cup of coffee. It was 2018. I had just come home from the notary after founding Exein. I made myself a coffee, probably the most bitter of my life. Not because I regretted it, but because I knew exactly how enormous the challenge ahead was. We had to build technology that had never been built before. We had to convince the market that the problem mattered, and investors that it could be done. And we had to convince people that a global technology company could be built from Rome, from Italy, from Europe. I remember our first office, a beaten-up former office belonging to a political party. I remember our first round with United Ventures and Massimiliano Magrini, when everything felt enormous. Then the Series A, the Yocto meta-layer, the ARM Partner Program, MediaTek, Series B, Series C, and a relentless race with one obsession: to build something that matters. Because the problem we set out to solve in 2018 is even more critical today. We are entering the age of Physical AI. Cars, robots, industrial systems, medical devices and billions of connected objects are gaining the ability to perceive, decide and act in the physical world. But this revolution can only happen if people trust those machines, and they will trust them only if they know they are secure. That is why Exein exists: to secure devices, and the intelligence inside them. Along the way, we heard a lot of "no." We were dismissed, laughed at, told it was impossible. We have always called ourselves professional regret makers. Today, that phrase means more to me than ever. Exein has raised more capital than any European cybersecurity startup in history. But this round is not a finish line. It is fuel. In the coming months we will unveil technologies we believe the industry has never seen before. We are building something unique. A huge thank you to our new investors, to those who believed in us before this round especially to Clarey Zhu and especially to everyone who has been part of Exein on this journey Gerardo Gagliardo Giovanni Alberto Falcione Gary Walshe Domenico Salvatore Gianluigi S. Candida Falcone Marcello Coletta and the team at Exein And allow me a small moment of national pride. 🇮🇹 I have served my country with my own blood. Today, through Exein, I feel I am serving it in a different way: by helping put Italy and Europe back at the center of the global technological race. Our ambition is simple to say and incredibly hard to achieve: a world where machines can be intelligent without becoming vulnerable. A world of machines that cannot be hacked. From that bitter coffee in Rome in 2018 to a $1.7 billion company today, it has been one hell of a ride. And we are just getting started. Thank you all for the messages and the support. Now, back to work. 🇮🇹🇪🇺

As Physical AI is taking off and AI-facilitated attacks are exploding in volume and sophistication, connected devices running in every corner of the physical world need securing from within. What Exein is building delivers exactly that: AI firmware runtime security that enables continuous on-device threat detection and autonomous remediation, at machine speed. Some of the world's largest companies, including Nvidia, Arm, AWS, Intel, Hitachi Energy, MediaTek and Daikin, already trust Exein to safeguard their expanding fleets of physical AI devices, data centers, and cloud infrastructure. Incredibly excited that Headline Growth is leading Exein's $270M round and to partner with Gianni, Giovanni, Gerardo, and the Exein team who are defining the Physical AI Security category as it forms. We are a unicorn! 🦄 Exein raised $270M at a $1.7B valuation to build the security layer for Physical AI. The new funding allows us to expand globally our protection for intelligent machines that use AI to perceive, make decisions, and act in the physical world. The round is led by Headline, with participation from Sofina, Goldman Sachs, the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group through ETCI, KfW Capital, and T.Capital and continued backing from Balderton, HV, Intrepid Growth Partners, 33N Ventures, Lakestar, Supernova Invest, Blue Cloud Ventures, and Geodesic Capital. This comes alongside an upsized revolving credit facility led by J.P. Morgan, with KfW joining. We want to thank our investors for their continued support and belief in our vision. We're also grateful to our partners and customers, whose trust and collaboration help us rise to the challenges of an always-evolving industry. Lastly, we want to dedicate a few words to our global team across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Whether you're celebrating this milestone at HQ, in one of our offices, or on a plane between time zones, thank you. Your constant commitment and drive for excellence are what allow Exein to build the global standard for security in the connected world. Read the full story on the Financial Times 👇
