Honoring Heather’s legacy through action, together. We are grateful to our team for showing up in support of Heather and a cause that meant so much to her. #WeAreHowmet
Last fall,Howmet Aerospace lost a beloved member of our team - Heather Grantz. When I started as an intern in 2022, I was assigned to work on a project for Heather. She was smart, kind, and so patient with me, who was just getting started. She wanted me to succeed, and after I became a full-time employee, we got to work together more. She was an amazing member of our office, but also an amazing person to be around. Heather always participated in the Team PHenomenal Hope 5K every spring to raise money for pulmonary hypertension. This year, we created a Howmet Aerospace team, Heather's Hearts, to honor her. We had over 30 members of the Howmet Pittsburgh office wake up on a cold Saturday to run on the North Shore. Heather's family and friends also had a team, PHighting PHor H, and we all got to come together to remember and celebrate Heather. I share this story as a testament to Heather's love and care for everyone in her orbit. That coworkers can grow into friends and that a small interaction in the workplace can really touch someone's heart. It is a reminder to be kind to one another. Thank you to all members of Heather's Hearts for fundraising and racing in the event. A huge shoutout to everyone that made this day possible: Andrew Woodley, Francisco Matos - MBA.CCP, Jacob Dulick, Megan Terrell, Barbara Fitzgerald, and Kelly Capone, JD, MBA!
