  • Honoring Heather’s legacy through action, together. We are grateful to our team for showing up in support of Heather and a cause that meant so much to her. #WeAreHowmet

Last fall,Howmet Aerospace lost a beloved member of our team - Heather Grantz. When I started as an intern in 2022, I was assigned to work on a project for Heather. She was smart, kind, and so patient with me, who was just getting started. She wanted me to succeed, and after I became a full-time employee, we got to work together more. She was an amazing member of our office, but also an amazing person to be around. Heather always participated in the Team PHenomenal Hope 5K every spring to raise money for pulmonary hypertension. This year, we created a Howmet Aerospace team, Heather's Hearts, to honor her. We had over 30 members of the Howmet Pittsburgh office wake up on a cold Saturday to run on the North Shore. Heather's family and friends also had a team, PHighting PHor H, and we all got to come together to remember and celebrate Heather. I share this story as a testament to Heather's love and care for everyone in her orbit. That coworkers can grow into friends and that a small interaction in the workplace can really touch someone's heart. It is a reminder to be kind to one another. Thank you to all members of Heather's Hearts for fundraising and racing in the event. A huge shoutout to everyone that made this day possible: Andrew Woodley, Francisco Matos - MBA.CCP, Jacob Dulick, Megan Terrell, Barbara Fitzgerald, and Kelly Capone, JD, MBA!

A career shaped by aviation, operations, and leadership doesn’t end with military service—it evolves. For United States Marine Corps veteran Major Wilbert Dickens, that evolution led to aerospace manufacturing at Howmet Aerospace. After more than two decades supporting global operations across aviation logistics, information systems, and infantry leadership, Wilbert transitioned into a role where precision, safety, and team development remain critical. Today, as an Operations Manager, he oversees complex manufacturing processes that produce essential aircraft engine components. Wilbert offered words of advice to his fellow servicemembers— “Take full advantage of military transition assistance programs and believe in yourself. The leadership and supervisory skills developed in the military are highly valued in the civilian workforce.” 🚀 Ready to apply your leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing? • When Allyssa Baade Swarts walked through the doors of Howmet Aerospace in February 2023, she brought with her a deep curiosity for Continuous Improvement, a growing academic ambition, and a belief that manufacturing could be a place where she built a meaningful career. What she didn’t know was that her journey would soon test every part of her resilience and that Howmet would walk beside her through every step.

Last week, our team had the opportunity to engage with students at the Virginia Tech Engineering CareerFest, one of the premier recruiting events connecting engineering students with industry leaders for internships and full-time opportunities.   Representing Howmet Engine Products were Zoe Clayton, John Glasgow and Tamera Hayes who shared insights into careers in aerospace manufacturing. CareerFest is targeted to students pursuing careers in engineering, technology and advanced manufacturing.   We appreciate and value the opportunity to connect with Virginia Tech’s talented students and look forward to continuing conversations with those interested in shaping the future of aerospace. #Careers #Internships #CareerFair #VirginiaTech #HowmetEngineProducts #WeAreHowmet
