Kentucky is home for Humana. Much of the work we do across the state is shaped by our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve and empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders. That’s why we’re proud to deepen our partnership with Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) through an investment that expands the Humana Scholars Program to EKU's School of Nursing. This contribution provides scholarship funding and helps reduce personal barriers that can make it difficult for students to complete their degrees. Building a strong pipeline of nurses, including those pursuing careers in home health, is critical to Kentucky’s future. Investments like this help prepare students to become skilled, compassionate clinicians while supporting communities across the state and advancing a healthier, more resilient Commonwealth. Continuous glucose monitor (CGMs) use is gaining momentum among Medicare Advantage members with type 2 diabetes. A new study from the Humana Healthcare Research team and Dr. Joseph S. Ross, from the Yale School of Medicine, highlights how quickly the monitors are being adopted among members and where opportunities remain to expand access. As CGMs become more widely available, understanding these trends helps us better support members with complex health needs, especially those who may face barriers to care or challenges adopting new technology. This research strengthens our ability to deliver more personalized, connected, and accessible care for people living with diabetes.
