YOU GOTTA THINK. Ask ChatGPT: “I want to wash my car, and the car wash is only 100m away. Should I walk to the car wash or drive my car there?” It will tell you: “Walk.” AI is improving at an incredible pace, but if you don’t think, you will be an emperor with no clothes on. My thoughts: 1. Lean into AI. It is going to lean into you either way. 2. If you don't understand what AI can do or how it can help you, ask AI. 3. If AI tells you something, you gotta think and ask, how would I verify if this is a good response. Then you gotta test it. 4. If you're thinking it makes sense to drive, let's talk. We're hiring humanistic builders who think: humanagency.com/careers

  • Our team is growing in order for our team to keep growing. 🚀

I’ve started a new fully remote role this week as Director of Talent at Human Agency. I appreciated the time over the holidays to reflect on where I wanted to land next (and to play some golf). Once I learned about this position at Human Agency and spoke with the leaders, I was instantly drawn in. We hire problem-solvers, driven by purpose, who are committed to expanding people’s ability to exercise agency in their work and lives. I’m glad to be here and look forward to making an impact. More to come regarding current openings, so if you or folks in your network are looking for something new and exciting, feel free to reach out.

  • There are few things we love more than pizza with a side of empowering people to use, understand, and own their technology! That is exactly what this week was about. Partnering with the incredible Clayco IT team led by Jeff Miller, we held an energetic event centered around using AI practically in a peer-to-peer format that allowed people to ask questions confidently and without fear. We're excited to continue investing in this initiative and thank Jeff and Brendan Lind for their visionary leadership. 🍕

This week our Clayco AI team hosted our first-ever “AI + Pizza,” live from the RBB office in St. Louis and streamed to teams across Clayco. The turnout was fantastic: 100+ on site and 130+ remote. The energy in every room was contagious. We built the day to be hands-on: a friendly hackathon, breakouts for every skill level, live demos, prizes, and user-led discussions. The best part wasnt the pizza, it was watching teammates teach teammates. In several rooms the audience ranked what they wanted to learn, and we worked through the list together. That simple move made the conversations sharper and the examples immediately relevant. Breakouts turned into open laptops, quick screen-shares, and real problems solved in real time. One attendee told us, “This was the first time I really understood how to apply AI in my role. I’m already using what I learned.” Another called it “intimate, stress-free, and incredibly practical.” Huge thanks to our partners in Clayco IT and Human Agency and to the volunteers who planned, facilitated, and taught: Zac Cogley, Brendan Lind, Michael Menne, Peter Heglund-Lohman, Brendan Langen, Lori Roethler, Jesse Sanders, and Jesse Hodges, among many others. Congrats to William Dunaway for taking first place in the in-person category of the hackathon. We’re excited to keep the momentum going with more learning, more sharing, more impact.

  • Today, Liquid AI launched two groundbreaking tools for developers—LEAP and Apollo—and we’re proud to have partnered closely with their incredible team to bring them to life. Our CEO Caroline Hoogland, along with so many others on the Human Agency team, played such a heavy role in this effort partnering alongside Liquid’s product, engineering, and executive teams to help shape an experience that brings powerful, private AI straight to your device. Months of research and a year of direct customer engagements made one thing clear: developers are fed up with fragmented AI solutions and privacy tradeoffs. LEAP answers that call. LEAP (Liquid Edge AI Platform) is a developer platform for deploying small language models directly into mobile apps—OS-agnostic, model-flexible, and as simple as calling a cloud API. Apollo is the iOS companion app that lets anyone run Liquid’s LFM2 models locally. No cloud. No latency. No data compromise. Working with a visionary founder and leader like Ramin Hasani makes product sprints and deployments fun. He sets a clear vision and motivates the team to execute. We're proud to be a small gust of wind at his sails. See it in action → https://lnkd.in/gXVgv_a8 Shoutout to our awesome team: Caroline Hoogland: marketing ops, comms, strategy, and overall team lead Camille Massu: product design, app design, UI/UX Daria Shypulia: engineering wizard and late night web sprints Cait Camarata: branding and design system William Tisian: motion and design solutions and many more! #LEAP #Apollo #LiquidAI #OnDeviceAI #EdgeComputing

Today, we release LEAP, our new developer platform for building with on-device AI — and Apollo, a lightweight iOS application for vibe checking small language models directly on your phone. With LEAP and Apollo, AI isn’t tied to the cloud anymore. Run it locally when you want, for speed, privacy, and reliability, using LEAP’s end-to-end toolkit for on-device AI. LEAP is a developer-first platform for AI on the edge that is proudly OS- and model-agnostic. With initial support for both Android and iOS, it enables developers to deploy small language models (SLMs) directly in their mobile apps with just a few lines of code. LEAP radically simplifies what once required deep expertise, complex tooling, and heavy infrastructure. USE LEAP IN 3 STEPS: STEP 1: Add LEAPSDK to your project on iOS and Android STEP 2: Select a model. Browse LEAP model library and download the best model bundle for your application. STEP 3: All done! Call your local LEAP model the same way you would a cloud LLM. LEAP Core Features: → Run local models with the same simplicity as calling a cloud API. → Cross-platform Edge SDKs available for Android and iOS. → Lightweight model library featuring SLMs like LFM2, with more on the way. → Optimized model sizes as small as 300mb — built for mobile and edge. → Runs smoothly on devices with 4GB+ RAM. → Designed for efficiency — minimal battery use, maximum speed. Try it today at →  https://leap.liquid.ai/ Apollo Today, we also release Apollo, an iOS native app for iPhone, Mac, and iPad, to test truly private, fast AI in your hand. Earlier this year, we acquired the Original Apollo App and joined forces with the amazing Aaron Ng to democratize access to private and local AI to everyone. Now, Apollo has native support for all LEAP models to enhance not only the Apollo user experience, but the LEAP developer experience as well. This reimagined app allows users to interact with the entire LEAP model library – including Liquid’s new generation of LFM2 models – in a fully offline, privacy-preserving interface. Whether you’re a developer looking to vibe-check model tone and test efficiency live in your hand, or a user exploring the potential of private AI, Apollo gives you a low-latency, cloud-free playground in your pocket with no barrier to entry. • At Human Agency, we believe in the power of individual choice—and that everyone deserves the tools to shape their own future. In today’s AI-driven world, computer literacy and technical skills are more than just competencies—they are emerging civil rights. That’s why we’re proud to partner with leaders like Jeff Miller, who understand that education is the bridge to equity in technology and opportunity in the future.

We can’t talk about the future of AI without talking about the future of education. CSforALL’s “Unlocking Potential” open letter makes a powerful case: every student deserves access to high-quality computer science education. This isn’t just about coding — it’s about agency. As AI becomes more embedded in our lives, the divide between those who can shape it and those who can’t will only grow. Limiting access to technical proficiency means limiting participation in our economy, democracy, and future. Computer science for all isn’t optional — it’s foundational. Let’s invest in education. Let’s unlock potential. #CSforALL #AI #DigitalLiteracy #TechEquity #STEM #EdTech #AIForGood #Upskilling #FutureOfWork https://lnkd.in/gxh5zrxp
