Behind every cup of coffee is a journey from bean to market. ICE provides the leading benchmarks for coffee, connecting the futures market to physical coffee and helping participants manage price risk across the supply chain. At ICE’s coffee grading room at the NYSE, a team of elite graders slurp and evaluate coffee samples against established quality standards. A single sample cup represents 37,500 pounds of coffee, stored in ICE-licensed warehouses, originating from Africa, Central and South America. ICE’s standardization supports transparent trade, and allows its coffee contracts to be the benchmark for global pricing. From bean to benchmark, ICE is behind the market.
