The City of Long Beach is mourning the loss of a beloved member of our community, Jim Michaelian, who passed away over the weekend at the age of 83. Beyond his love and dedication to his family, Jim spent 50 years feeding his passion, street racing. We are forever grateful to him for his partnership and for putting Long Beach on the map with the legendary and internationally renowned Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, America’s greatest street race. We already miss him very much, and our thoughts are with his family, friends and the team who are hard at work right now putting on the next race this April. 🕊️ Rest in peace Jim.
