We're thrilled to announce that Lindsey Baker will join Maryland Nonprofits as our next President & CEO on October 19. Lindsey brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in nonprofits across Maryland, including most recently as CEO at Maryland Humanities, where she has led the statewide council through a period of significant change. She was selected by the Board of Directors following an extensive national search led by Good Insight. As Maryland Nonprofits nears 35 years of strengthening and advocating for the nonprofit sector, we are confident that Lindsey’s leadership will build on that legacy while positioning us for continued growth and impact across Maryland. Join us in welcoming Lindsey to Maryland Nonprofits at our annual conference October 22 and 23 in Linthicum Heights, MD!

Congratulations to our board member, Dana Vickers Shelley, MPA, on being named to The Daily Record’s MD500, recognizing Maryland’s most influential leaders across sectors. As Executive Director of the ACLU of Maryland, Dana leads with clarity, courage, and a deep commitment to justice and community. Her leadership and dedication continue to make a meaningful impact across Maryland. We are proud to have Dana’s insight and leadership on our board and thrilled to see her recognized among this year’s MD500 honorees. Congratulations, Dana, on this well-deserved recognition!
We couldn't be prouder of ACLU of Maryland Executive Director Dana Vickers Shelley. Dana has been recognized by The Daily Record's MD500 — a list honoring our state's most influential leaders across every sector, including nonprofits. For years, Dana has led with clarity, courage, and an unwavering commitment to justice. She has guided our work to protect voting rights, defend free speech, and hold power accountable. Still, she would tell you herself that this recognition is about more than one leader; it's a testament to what's possible when advocacy is rooted in community and conviction. Congratulations, Dana Vickers Shelley, MPA. Maryland is better because of your leadership.
