Overheard: Onward edition. We just wrapped Maven’s first customer conference, Onward, and are still thinking about all of the fantastic conversations, on stage and off. Some made us laugh, some made us tear up, and many inspired how we think about what’s next. Here’s some of what we overheard: 😊 “I’m excited to see Olivia Munn, but I’m REALLY excited to see my Client Success Manager!” - Maven client 👏 “We had a meeting of ~2,500 people and mentioned we launched a new menopause benefit - we got a standing ovation. I’ve never seen a standing ovation for a benefits launch ever! - Benefits leader from a Fortune 25 client 🗣️ “You should feel comfortable telling your provider your deepest secrets. If you don’t, switch providers, switch platforms. All of us are caretakers of someone; every caretaker needs a caretaker.” - Holly Lofton MD, DABOM ✈️ “In 2030, we’re going to look back and think it’s crazy how many point solutions we had and the friction that caused. Friction is the enemy of utilization. I think we’re going to get a place where it’s like an airport - everything is there, there’s a one-stop stop, all of the solutions are connected.” - Longtime Maven client 🖥️ “I lost my PowerPoint presentation with all my benefits listed out, so I just asked everyone to go around the room and tell me their favorite benefit, and they all said Maven.” - Maven pharma client 🩺 “I love (Maven provider) Stacey Silverman Fine MD, FACOG, MSCP - I think there could be a whole panel about her!” - panel of Maven members ⚡ “Why do we chastise women for not putting our health first? It’s not us that’s not doing it. It’s researchers and scientists and politicians and doctors. We’ve been screaming from the rooftops for people to help us.” - Olivia Munn Thank you to everyone who made the first Onward one to remember! More to come.

Women’s health isn’t a series of disconnected moments, and care shouldn’t be either. In this conversation with Fitt Insider, Kate Ryder shares how Maven has grown by following members through their lives, expanding from maternity & postpartum support in 2014 into comprehensive care from fertility through to parenting, menopause and every moment in between in 2026. Going “full-continuum” means more than adding programs. It means connecting clinical expertise, data, and technology to guide each person to the right care at the right time. It also means using AI thoughtfully to make care easier to navigate, while keeping trusted providers at the center. Thank you Fitt Insider for a great conversation! Listen to the full conversation below ⤵️

September is NICU Awareness Month, an important moment to talk about what happens when families get the right support at one of the hardest points of their path to building a family. Meet Sarah. Her daughter Ivy arrived seven weeks early, after a sudden case of preterm labor she didn't see coming. The NICU is its own world: monitors, incubators, a discharge date nobody can promise you. Sarah and her husband were overwhelmed, exhausted, and scared, unsure what questions to ask or how to help without getting in the way. Their Maven care team connected them with a NICU care coach within hours, someone who could explain what each number on the monitor meant and why. They were coached through infant massage and cue-based feeding, two of the interventions shown to help impact the length of a NICU stay. When the exhaustion and fear became too much, a mental health provider helped them process it in real time, not months later. Ivy came home a full two weeks sooner than the family's initial estimate. Sarah went back to work on schedule, without draining her leave or her savings on an extended stay. For her employer, that's not a soft outcome. NICU stays cost employers and health plans an average of $58,100 per week, and every day shaved off adds up fast across a workforce. Maven members see up to 27% lower NICU admission rates in the first place, and when a NICU stay does happen, coordinated support helps shorten it and reduce readmissions. 💚 No family should have to navigate the NICU alone. For anyone in the thick of a NICU stay, or who has been there, we're with you.

There's something powerful about being in a room full of women building what comes next. Last week, our Founder and CEO Kate Ryder joined Caryn Seidman Becker Chair and CEO of CLEAR, and ForbesWomen Maggie McGrath on stage at the #ForbesPowerWomenSummit for a conversation about challenging legacy industries, building companies through early investor skepticism, and doing right by the people those industries have historically overlooked, especially women. Thank you to Forbes and ForbesWomen for creating space for conversations like this, and to Maggie and Caryn for such a thoughtful discussion. Starting January 1, 2027, the single global maternity billing code disappears. In its place: itemized codes for prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) proposed fee schedule redistributes value within that new structure, with labor and delivery seeing a proposed 15% increase while prenatal and postpartum visits lose ground, and none of it is finalized yet. A separate proposal could let some payers keep billing the old way, meaning two systems could end up running side by side for the same pregnancy. For employers, this isn't a coding footnote. It shows up in premiums, or in direct costs if you're self-funded, whether or not your team has had time to prepare. 📍On September 16 from 12-1pm ET / 9-10am PT, Maven's Neel Shah, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board, and Chief Revenue Officer Doreen Bortel will walk through what's changing, what's still undecided, and what benefits leaders should be doing now to get ahead of their 2027 renewal. 💭 Can't join live?
