From popular acrylic stands to the shop signs we see around town — have you ever wondered what happens to them once they're no longer needed?   Acrylic resin (#PMMA) is used in many familiar applications, including automotive taillight lenses and aquarium tanks. However, finding ways to keep this resource in circulation remains a major challenge.   At #MitsubishiChemical, we are working on chemical recycling that converts used PMMA back into MMA monomer, its original raw material. JFE Steel, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical and #MitsubishiChemical have commenced a supply chain demonstration project at the Mizushima Complex in September 2026. Making “Chemistry” and “Science” More Accessible.✨ As part of Mitsubishi Chemical’s Living Lab initiative, we recently hosted a Science Café where experts and local community members came together to explore science through open and engaging dialogue. 🧫This session focused on the relationship between lactic acid bacteria and the human body.
