  • The Cayce Transformation grows once again! Today, for the second time this year, MDHA celebrated the grand opening of a new residential development at Cayce Place. 5th & Summer is a six-story development featuring 107 mixed-income units, including 66 affordable units. 5th & Summer brings the total number of new units built as part of the Cayce Transformation to 913, with more than half of those homes reserved for Cayce Place residents. MDHA was joined for the celebration by Mayor Freddie O'Connell, elected officials, Cayce Place residents and representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Amazon. MDHA was also honored to have Tammy, a Cayce Place resident since 2011, share her story with attendees. She and her three sons will soon move into 5th & Summer. "When I first walked into my apartment yesterday, I immediately started thinking about Christmas. Usually, we go to my momma’s house or my sister’s house, but this year, I want to have Christmas with my little family in our new home," said Tammy. MDHA is grateful for the many partners who helped bring 5th & Summer to the neighborhood!

  • Do you help Nashvillians find affordable housing resources? Then we want to hear from you! MDHA is requesting public comment on its updated Tenant Selection Plan (TSP). The plan sets the admissions, waiting list, occupancy and eligibility policies that govern MDHA’s Multifamily Housing properties. It does not govern MDHA's voucher programs. Many local agencies, nonprofit organizations and service providers support applicants as they navigate the MDHA waiting list process, and we value their perspective on the TSP. You can review a draft of the TSP and submit your comments through the link below. Anyone in the community is welcome to share their feedback. https://lnkd.in/dcSTH86Y

  • Open Enrollment season is upon us! MDHA's Human Resources Department hosted a benefits fair that featured eight companies, which allowed employees to speak directly with service providers before making their selections. The HR team also added some fun to the event with a luau theme, music, snacks and photo opportunities. There are over 250 employees carrying out MDHA's mission across Davidson County, and ensuring that they feel supported is one of our Agency's top priorities. Thank you to the HR department, especially HR Specialist Camille Eskridge, for creating this opportunity for #TeamMDHA.
