Application Detection and Response

About us

Miggo is the first Application Detection and Response (ADR) platform on a mission to stop application breaches. 80% of all cyber incidents happen in the application layer, however too many are being slipped by existing tools due to a blindspot to the actual application behavior. By using in-application runtime context, Miggo maps how applications actually operate in runtime, identifies high-risk application flows, pinpoints the weak spots, and provides real-time detection and response capabilities in the application layer.

  • Miggo's Runtime Community Briefing, September edition, is out. This month: why mitigation and remediation need to work together, the 51 minutes it now takes AI to turn a patch into a working exploit, and the case for treating the pre-patch window as its own operating state. Also this month: we were named a 2026 SINET16 Honoree and welcomed Cathy Grim as our new VP of Customer Success. We're hitting the road this fall, check out where you can catch us. Subscribe so you never miss an edition. #MiggoSecurity #RuntimeSecurity #MiggoNewsletter

  • OpenAI published Defense Factory, its security playbook for  an era of AI-assisted mass exploitation and unprecedented amounts ot CVEs. It reinforces the same move toward continuous, evidence-based defense and aligns closely with Miggo’s runtime-first strategy, with one stage missing: mitigation. The five stages outlined: 🔹Build an inventory - Map the environment before discovery begins 🔹Discover vulnerabilities - Scan and build the candidate vulnerability pool  🔹Validate findings - Reproduce and confirm candidate vulnerabilities  🔹Assign validated findings - Connect validated findings to responsible owners  🔹Verify remediation - Verify the fix after authorized deployment Every stage moves a vulnerability toward a patch, but without mitigation, organizations remain exploitable while remediation takes days or even weeks. That gap is the exposure window, and it is where attacks actually land. That’s the stage Defense Factory is missing - and what Miggo is built for. Mitigate now. Patch when you’re ready. • Miggo Security is honored to be named a 2026 SINET16 Honoree alongside a group of companies shaping what comes next in cybersecurity. Selected from 158 applicants across 10 countries and evaluated by 100 security professionals, Miggo is the only ADR and mitigation company among this year's esteemed honorees. The recognition signals the industry shift. "Enterprises need mitigation-first, autonomous defense they can trust to block exploitation while patching is underway," said Daniel Shechter, co-founder and CEO of Miggo. Miggo is the first ADR solution built to deliver autonomous mitigation for exploitable vulnerabilities, reducing exposure windows by up to 99% and cutting operational overhead by 30% or more. Grateful to SINET, Robert Rodriguez, Heather Rodriguez and the judging committee for this recognition. https://lnkd.in/ds9py7_7

  • Miggo Security welcomes Cathy Grim as VP of Customer Success. Cathy comes with a clear philosophy on what CS should be: highly strategic and highly operational, with clear ownership, measurable outcomes, and strong customer intelligence, designed to scale through better technology, not bigger headcount. "The future of CS isn't larger teams. It's smaller, more technical teams with dramatically better influence." Welcome, Cathy. We're honoured to have you on our team! https://lnkd.in/dTuSkF_j #aMiggos #MiggoSecurity

  • 51 minutes. That's how long it took to turn a published patch into a working exploit using AI. That's faster than most enterprise change management processes can safely deploy a fix, and that gap is exactly where organizations are most exposed. Miggo Co-founder and CTO Itai Goldman shares a framework for security and IT leaders on how to treat that window as its own operating state, with its own owner, procedure, and metrics. If your program doesn't have an answer for that window yet, read Itai's full piece on SC Media to see how to structure your pre-patch playbook: https://lnkd.in/dHHuXgFy

  • There is always a gap between when a vulnerability is confirmed and when the patch actually lands. That gap is measured in days or weeks. Attackers turn vulnerabilities into exploits in hours. What you do inside that window is mitigation. Remediation and mitigation are not the same treatment, and that is why many fall into the trap of too much exposure. Defenders have to run on two clocks. Remediation is the slow one: regression testing, change control, dependency chains, vendor schedules. It will keep moving at human speed for good reasons. Mitigation has to be the fast one. Shield the exploitable path now, with proof it will not break the app, and let the patch land on its own schedule. Mitigation is the one lever a security team can pull on its own timeline. Security programs are shifting to mitigation-first not because patching is unimportant, but because remediation is structurally slow in ways urgency alone cannot fix. Read the latest article by Eliana Vuijsje on the distinction, why mitigation is becoming the operating default, and what it takes to run both tracks without letting either slip: https://lnkd.in/dDe6mtZJ

Miggo has been approved for OpenAI's Daybreak Blue. Daybreak is OpenAI's framework for putting frontier AI capability in the hands of trusted defenders, capability that's genuinely useful for security work, but dangerous if it lands in the wrong ones. Daybreak Blue is built for exactly that tension: authorized defensive work, with the usual refusal-heavy guardrails recalibrated so legitimate security teams can actually get the job done. This isn't just access. It's recognition. OpenAI vetted Miggo as exactly the kind of team Daybreak Blue was built for: defenders working to close the patch gap. What we get is GPT-5.6 Sol, OpenAI's most cyber-capable model, without the guardrails built to stop misuse. Attackers are already moving at machine speed. We intend to move faster. #DaybreakBlue #Cybersecurity

  • OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra just scored 100% on ExploitBench, the first model they've ever classified as "Critical" for cybersecurity. The patch gap has collapsed to minutes. Autonomous attackers require autonomous mitigation: block the exploitable path now, while remediation runs on its own clock. That's the gap Miggo was built to close. Our CEO, Daniel Shechter, on what this actually means for defenders.

OpenAI classified its newest model, Astra, as "Critical" for cybersecurity. The first model they've ever put in that category. Their definition of Critical: the ability to find previously unknown vulnerabilities and develop working exploits against hardened systems, without a human guiding it. Astra scored 100% on ExploitBench and discovered two real zero-days while building an exploit chain. In separate testing it chained unknown flaws to escape a hardened browser sandbox and reach root. Most people will read this as "attackers got a superpower,"  but that's the wrong capability, because the thing that's changed isn't capability. It's time. The gap between a vulnerability becoming known and a working exploit existing has collapsed to minutes. That breaks the core assumption of the last twenty years: a grace period long enough to triage and patch, which is now gone. Patching was never slow because teams were slow, but because safely changing production software has a speed limit, and no AI pipeline removes change windows, regression testing, or code you don't own. So "patch faster" was already losing - against Astra, Mythos and the next iterations of these models, it isn't even the right race. Defenders must run on two clocks. Remediation, the slow one, which will continue to move at human speed for good reasons. And mitigation, which needs to be the fast one: shield the exploitable path now, with proof it won't break the app, and let the patch land on its own schedule. Block now, patch when you're ready. https://lnkd.in/gYRbND6x Miggo Security
