NBCUniversal Local Team Member Spotlights: Fernando del Granado Fernando del Granado is vice president of marketing for NBCUniversal Local, where he leads enterprise-wide marketing and brand development. A seasoned marketing executive with extensive global experience across media, entertainment and technology, he joined NBCU in January 2023 after serving in marketing leadership roles at WarnerMedia, HBO and Apple. He earned graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Miami. Fernando on a piece of advice and perspective he has carried with him throughout his career: "Strive to be the calmest person in the room and always listen to learn. Plans change, deadlines move, and unforeseen problems come up, and your team often takes its cues from you, so staying steady helps everyone focus on the solution. I also believe in delivering more than you promise and making sure difficult news never comes as a surprise."

Telemundo 39 KXTX Dallas, part of Telemundo Station Group, announced its consumer investigative unit, 'Telemundo 39 Responde,' has surpassed $1 million recovered for North Texas consumers marking a significant milestone in the station’s ongoing commitment to advocating for and serving its community. Since launching in 2014 as one of Telemundo’s original seven 'Responde' units, the team has helped consumers navigate complaints, recover money and find solutions to consumer-related issues. Today, NBCUniversal Local’s Consumer Investigative Center (CIC) supports 'Responds' and 'Responde' units at 33 NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations across 23 U.S. markets and Puerto Rico. NBCUniversal Local and Comcast NBCUniversal announced $2.5 million in funding for 80 nonprofit organizations making a difference in communities across 11 markets served by NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations through the 2026 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants. Founded in 2018, the grant program has now provided $24.3 million to 695 nonprofit organizations awarding unrestricted funding to eligible nonprofits making a difference across three categories: Youth education and empowerment, next generation storytellers, and community engagement.
