Excerpt from contributor Jon Purow's write-up ahead of NECANN Atlantic City this weekend: New Jersey’s cannabis market has moved past its awkward adolescence, and the deal flow has gotten serious enough that being in the room actually matters. The annual meeting of that market returns to the Atlantic City Convention Center on September 18 and 19, when NECANN brings the New Jersey Cannabis Convention back for its seventh year. Since NECANN launched the show in 2019 — before adult-use was even legal here — it has grown from a hopeful gathering of believers into the event where the Garden State industry takes its own temperature. As someone who spends his days brokering cannabis businesses and licenses across New York and New Jersey, I can tell you this is the weekend where operators stop posting about deals and start making them. https://lnkd.in/gHuWw49h
