Honored to see Neuron Factory included in the first-ever BuiltWorlds AI Solutions Top 50 list! BuiltWorlds' inaugural list highlights the technologies shaping the future of the built environment. For us, shaping that future means helping enterprise General Contractors turn fragmented project data into actionable preconstruction intelligence. Whether it's cross-referencing drawings against specs or preserving institutional knowledge across project handoffs, our goal remains the same: ensuring your team never loses the thread on a $300M build. Congratulations to all the forward-thinking companies featured on this year's list! Making the lives of construction workers easier by building the first AI native knowledge graph platform.
About us
Neuron Factory's mission is to build an agentic construction intelligence platform powered by a proprietary knowledge graph — capturing, connecting, and reasoning across the full spectrum of construction project data, starting with preconstruction. Where existing tools store documents in isolation, Neuron Factory extracts entities, relationships, and context from every file type a GC touches — tender specs, drawings, RFQs, emails, BOQs, SOWs, schedules — and assembles them into a structured, queryable graph. That graph becomes the intelligence substrate that powers AI agents, answers estimator questions with source citations, flags conflicts, and enables cross-project benchmarking at a scale no team of humans could manually achieve. Neuron Factory was founded by Zaid Kahn (former Head of AI Infrastructure at Microsoft) and Salil Pandit (former senior engineer at Google and Waymo). Our team brings experience from Autodesk, Procore, Google, Microsoft, Apple, IBM, Salesforce and BAE Systems, and our advisory board spans construction leadership (Cordeel Group, AECOM) and world-class AI expertise — including the leader of Microsoft Research's lab, alongside senior figures from Waymo and Shopify.

Some of the most consequential decisions on a project happen out loud. A walk-through, a quick call with a sub, a verbal go-ahead nobody thought to formalize. Those decisions are real. The problem is they often don't make it into any system, so six months later nobody can point to why something was built the way it was. Neuron Factory captures the context behind decisions as they're connected to the documents and people involved, not just the paperwork that eventually catches up to them. #preconstruction #constructiontech #ai #aec

A couple weeks ago, our team joined the ContTech Deep Dive Day at Stanford, hosted by the Center for Innovation and CIFE. A full day of hands-on exploration and interactive sessions alongside some of the sharpest companies in construction tech, all focused on the same question: how do these tools actually move the needle for the AEC community? Good company to be in, and good conversations all around. Thanks to the Center for Innovation for putting it together. #contech #aec #constructiontech #preconstruction #ai #stanford

“Just use ChatGPT on your project documents" sounds simple, until you're 10,000 pages into a $300M bid and the answers start getting worse, not better. That's the ceiling with standard knowledge bases. They chunk your documents into flat text, retrieve based on keyword proximity, and hand you back a list of paragraphs to read yourself. Fine for simple lookups. It falls apart fast on real project complexity, and hallucination risk climbs right when the stakes get highest. A true knowledge graph works differently. It extracts entities and models the actual relationships between them, floor plans to specs to submittals to BOQs, so it can traverse multiple hops across documents and past projects to get to an answer, not just a matching paragraph. Every answer comes with direct source justification, not a guess dressed up as one. Search returns documents. Graphs return answers. Almost correct isn't good enough on a $300M project. #ai #knowledgegraphs #constructiontech #preconstruction #aec

We've recently come back from Singapore, and this one was big. Our CEO Zaid Kahn took the main stage at CTX to share our vision for preconstruction intelligence and knowledge graphs, alongside a packed few days at the booth running live product walkthroughs for teams across the region. A few firsts for us this trip: Singapore was the debut for our newly updated brand identity, ahead of a broader relaunch coming soon. It was also our first real push into APAC, and we got to spend real time with partners and GCs across the region, including Wo Hup and Kajima. We also joined the Zacua Ventures learning expedition running alongside the conference, part of building alongside some of the sharpest minds in construction tech. Singapore, this was a great one. More soon. #ctx #bexasia #preconstruction #constructiontech #ai #aec

Big news: we're expanding our design partnership with Suffolk. This relationship started through BOOST, Suffolk Technologies' accelerator program, and has since evolved through a series of collaborative pilots and production use cases across Suffolk's preconstruction teams. As an early design partner, Suffolk Construction has worked directly with us to identify high-value applications for AI, test the platform inside active workflows, and give feedback that's shaping what adoption looks like for enterprise general contractors. Preconstruction teams manage thousands of drawings, specs, scope decisions, and revisions before a project ever reaches the field. The risks that matter most rarely live inside one document, they live in the dependencies between them. That's exactly what we built Neuron Factory to make visible. "Suffolk has been an important partner in shaping Neuron Factory from its early days," said Zaid Kahn, co-founder and CEO. "Their teams bring deep experience navigating the complexity of preconstruction, and they've brought that perspective directly into how we've built our platform." Through this partnership, our teams are exploring how AI can retain institutional project knowledge, reason across drawings and specifications, identify scope and coordination gaps, and carry context from pursuit through handoff and beyond. Construction doesn't happen in one language, and preconstruction intelligence shouldn't either. Global project teams are the norm on large-scale work, not the exception. Neuron Factory is built to support that reality from the ground up, across Dutch, French, English, Arabic, Japanese, and more. An AI platform that only works in English isn't an enterprise platform; it's a pilot program. #ai #globalconstruction #constructiontech #aec

New look, same core idea. Our new icon is a small picture of how the platform actually works: connected nodes, not a flat list. This is on purpose. A knowledge graph doesn't store your project data in isolated buckets; it maps how every document, decision, and discipline relates to the ones around it. When we sat down to redesign our logo, we wanted it to reflect the same graph connections that power the product itself, and the new palette leans into the technical, connected feel of what we're building. Same mission. Same team. A visual identity that finally looks like what we do. What do you think of our new look? 👀 Stay tuned for a full website refresh, coming soon. #branding #knowledgegraphs #constructiontech #aec
