If your leadership meetings feel like you’re talking in circles, it’s usually not a people problem. Cam Lawson does a great job breaking down why IDS works and how something simple can completely change how teams solve issues. Also appreciate the callout on the Issues list. When the structure makes it easier to capture context and move to action, teams actually start solving things instead of revisiting them every week. #Ninety #EOS #90xEOS
Does your leadership team ever talk in circles around the actual issue? Happens all the time. And that’s often why meetings are dreaded. Nothing ever gets solved. You team never moves in action. More often than not, it’s not because the team isn’t smart… It usually is because they don’t have a good structure for working through issues. That’s one of the things I love about IDS from the EOS framework. Identify Discuss Solve Clearly and simply state what the issue is. Provide additional context around it. Move into tangible next steps to solve it. Simple. Proven. Effective. One of my favorite tools on Ninety is the Issues list. It’s very interactive making the IDS time…actually fun 😅 Am I really saying that?? Yes, yes I am. When the digital structure can unconsciously help you better solve your issues…you know you’ve got a solid tool! It helps you document all the context in a central area…easily create to-dos, rocks, even cascading messages without having to re-enter everything…and even go back to and search for archived issues easily. Ninety makes working through and solving issues fun again. And when you’re solving issues in your organization, you’re actually moving the needle! Start your free 30 day trial today! If your team has the Scorecard, the meetings, and the Rocks, but execution still feels off, look at three things: how honest the numbers are, which issues actually make the list, and whether To-Dos really get done. That is the heart of this blog. Not more process. Better team health. Dive deeper: https://lnkd.in/eERC_9QN
Congrats to Angela Kalemis and Mark Stanley for another successful Data Driven Leader Workshop. Many wonderful companies learned how to track the right numbers to help them spot issues early. And, we were blown away at the millions of dollars uncovered for these companies in the second half of the day. And of course, many thanks to Jack Tankersley Jr. and Meritage for hosting this workshop. #EOS #Ninety #90xEOS
You know the meeting didn’t really work when the real conversation starts after everyone leaves the room. Jonathan B. Smith wrote a sharp piece on something a lot of leadership teams run into: avoiding the uncomfortable conversation, then wondering why the team still feels off. A lot of the time, it’s not a strategy problem. It’s that the real issue never got put on the table. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/efQvkMie If you want to hear more, you can join JBS and Ninety's Kris Snyder for a live webinar today. Register here: https://lnkd.in/exPyA7ba
How many Slack messages do you get every day with something you need to bring back to your team? What if you could just react to that message with a fun emoji ✨, and it automatically created an Issue in Ninety for you to discuss later? This workflow does exactly that. No need to slack your EA and have them create the issue in Ninety. Want to stop losing good ideas in Slack? Give this workflow a try. https://lnkd.in/e5yZJTYZ

It’s easy to spend a full week putting out fires and never touch the real work. The difference is whether the team has a rhythm to step back and reset together. That’s where things start to change. Cam Lawson #Ninety #EOS #90xEOS
Ever look at your calendar and realize you spent the entire week working in the business…not on it? Most leadership teams I talk to want to focus on the big stuff: Strategy Vision Growth Solving the real obstacles holding the business back But reality looks a little different. Slack messages. Client fires. Operational questions. Another “quick” problem that somehow eats the whole afternoon. Over time something subtle happens: The business starts running you instead of you running the business. The healthiest leadership teams I’ve seen do one thing differently. They create rhythm. A consistent time every week where the leadership team steps back from the chaos and asks: What’s actually working right now? What’s broken? What’s the biggest obstacle we need to solve together? That space is where real leadership happens. It’s also why tools like Ninety exist: to give leadership teams a structured place for scorecards, priorities, and issue solving so the urgent doesn’t crowd out the important. In the video below, I break down why leadership teams get stuck in the weeds and how to shift back into actually leading the business. #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #EOS #LeadershipTeams #BusinessOperatingSystem
