🚀 Exciting milestone for On Me! We’re thrilled to announce our $6M seed round, led by Pete Flint at NFX with participation from Lerer Hippeau and focal, who have supported us since our pre-seed last year. At On Me we are reimagining the $447+ billion gift card market— building a platform that helps people give, spend, and share value in more meaningful ways. In the past year, we’ve facilitated over $2.5 million in gifts for more than 76,000 customers, showing strong demand for a more personal, flexible way to gift digitally. This funding allows us to accelerate product development, expand partnerships, and continue scaling our impact across consumers, retailers, and corporate partners. Deep gratitude to our investors and team for believing in our mission to make every digital gift feel personal. We’re excited for what’s ahead! 👉 Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gQ4BTsPd #fundingannouncement #fintech #startupgrowth #digitalpayments #venturecapital Sitar Harel Darragh Meaney

Let’s face it. Finding the perfect holiday gift for an entire company is usually a logistical nightmare. You want to be thoughtful, but you also want to be efficient. Here is the "Win-Win" scenario we’ve built for modern teams: The Company Win: You choose the category (like Self Care, Dinner, or Fashion) that fits your culture. It shows you care about who they are, not just what they do. Plus? Zero fees and instant bulk sending. No shipping logistics required. The Employee Win: They choose the retailer. Whether they want to shop online or in-person, the card lives in their digital wallet. They get the freedom to buy exactly what they’ve been eyeing all year. Ditch the swag no one uses and send a gift that actually boosts morale 😉 👉 Check out how we make holiday gifting easy: https://lnkd.in/eiNr8Wx3

What's scarier than Halloween? The "I have no costume!" panic text from your friend. Send an On Me gift card to save the day 👻 🪄 Wannabe Witch? A Beauty On Me gift card so she can make a mad dash to Sephora and buy every shade of green makeup they have. 🎤 Pop Star? A Fashion On Me gift card so she can find the sparkliest halter top and a sequin mini skirt to go with that blonde wig she swore she'd use again after last year. 💡 Trend-Spotter? A Thrifting On Me gift card is perfect for hunting down the right bunny ears and a fabulous faux-fur jacket for the cute-yet-mischievous furry keychains look. ✈️ Meme Queen? A Crafts On Me gift card so she can build the perfect "nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday" costume. Save your friend from a costume catastrophe 🎃

It’s a special time at On Me HQ! We’re excited to welcome Neil Shankar to the team as our Founding Designer! Neil was most recently at Block -- the parent company of Square, Cash App, and Afterpay. Before that, he worked at Google, at the same time as our co-founders Darragh and Sitar! We’re excited to leverage Neil’s background across design, engineering, fintech, and consumer products to create magical gifting experiences 🎁 Neil hit the ground running in April and he’s already launched a huge design overhaul of our product -- he’ll be unveiling our new logo and branding very soon! We’ve loved getting to know him and we’re looking forward to building the best gifting experience ever, with him at the design helm. We asked him a few questions so you can get to know him too: 1️⃣ Why did you decide to join On Me? I’m super interested in consumer fintech, and I personally use lots of consumer fintech products and apps. A lot of these apps feel “banky” and transactional, but On Me stood out to me in a big way for shifting the focus towards gifting and social connection, which is a very human thing. 2️⃣ What’s your most memorable gifting moment? I love when gifting involves a bit of espionage. Last year, my girlfriend surprised me on my birthday with tickets to Disneyland. She had secretly coordinated with my parents to hunt down photos from our family trip to Disneyland 20 years prior, and it made for a really memorable unwrapping experience. 3️⃣ When not building the future of digital gifting, what hobbies keep you busy? Last year, the Olympics inspired me to try my hand at new sports and hobbies! Since then, I’ve tried archery, aikido, and curling! 4️⃣ What On Me Giftcard do you want to receive for your next birthday? Out of all of our gift cards, Self-care On Me is one of my favorites. I also wouldn’t mind an Extreme sports On Me, as that would encourage me to try something new! #OnMe #gifting #giftcard #giftcards #design #berkeley #fintech #tech #onme.com

On Me reposted this
"Finally a startup podcast where you actually learn something that matters!" That's what I set out to do when I started having discussions with founders and operators around potentially doing a podcast. Why? Because most startup podcasts are basically a highlight reel that barely scratch the surface across the 20+ topics they cover. They're entertaining - but you don't actually learn anything useful. Thus, meet the focal podcast where I go deep with some of today's best founders / operators on ONE crucial lesson they learned the hard way early on. No fluff, just the real, actionable insights you'd get if these founders were mentoring you 1-on-1. Our debut episode - launched today - tackles a critical mistake most founders make early on: “Most startups don’t focus on growth nearly early enough.” This comes from Austin Hughes 🤝 who knows startup growth better than almost anyone else. As a former early growth lead at Ramp and now the co-founder and CEO of Unify (>$30M raised from Thrive Capital, Emergence Capital, OpenAI), Austin has both built a growth organization from scratch as well as helped scale one faster than almost anyone else. Our conversation changed how I think about growth at startups. We cover: 1. Experimentation speed is everything 2. Why you have to start with outbound from day 1 3. To win, move from cold to warm outbound 4. Why to build your growth team as early as possible 5. The ultimate startup moat: Building in public Starting tomorrow, I'll also share insights from these conversations in writing. For more, check out our conversation on the newly launched focal podcast and subscribe to my Substack for the write ups (LINK IN COMMENTS). On top, stay tuned for additional episodes over the coming weeks with guests including: - Han Wang, Co-Founder & CEO of Mintlify ($22M raised from Andreessen Horowitz, Bain Capital Ventures, & Y Combinator) - Alexa Grabell, Co-Founder & CEO of Pocus ($23M raised form Coatue, First Round Capital, Pear VC, and BoxGroup) - Don Muir, Co-Founder & CEO of Arc (>$180M in debt + equity raised from Left Lane Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Y Combinator, & Torch Capital) - Santiago Suarez Ordoñez, Co-Founder & CEO of Momentum.io ($18M raised from FirstMark, Basis Set, & South Park Commons) - Simon Rohrbach, Co-Founder & CEO of Plain ($21M raised from Battery Ventures & Index Ventures) And many more.
