OpenEvidence is now available to more than 110,000 AdventHealth team members providing whole-person care for millions of people annually through more than 2,000 care sites that include hospitals, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, hospice centers, the AdventHealth app and more. “OpenEvidence gives our care teams a practical way to access current clinical evidence as they care for patients,” said Michael Cacciatore, MD, chief clinical officer for AdventHealth. “It can help reduce the time clinicians spend searching for information and create more time for listening, explaining and caring for the whole person. This gives our care teams another resource to use alongside their training, experience and clinical judgment.” Our goal, as always, is to support, not replace, the expertise and accountability of AdventHealth clinicians. Every care decision remains rooted in professional judgment, the patient’s individual circumstances and the relationship between patients, families and their care team. Sage and OpenEvidence Partner to Bring Peer-Reviewed Research to Clinicians at the Point of Care. The agreement brings peer-reviewed research from more than 300 Sage journals into OpenEvidence, with direct citations back to the original articles. Sage’s portfolio expands the range of specialty literature OpenEvidence can surface and synthesize when physicians ask clinical questions, deepening the evidence available across the platform. "Sage is committed to getting research into the hands of people who need it in the most useful and meaningful way,” said Bob Howard, Executive Vice President, Global Journals, at Sage. “With Sage content integrated into OpenEvidence’s platform, we can extend our reach and impact and meet doctors and clinicians where they are.” The partnership brings Sage's portfolio of its scientific and medical content to OpenEvidence, including journals from key societies such as American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, World Stroke Organization, American Society of Neurorehabilitation, International Headache Society, Australian Society of Anaesthetists, International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism, Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists and ISEVS - International Society of Endovascular Specialists.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Makes Its Precision Oncology Data Available To Doctors Nationwide Through OpenEvidence Dr. Anaeze Offodile, MSK's chief strategy officer, told Forbes that "people who are treated thousands of miles from MSK can get access to MSK's precision oncology expertise" through OpenEvidence. Forbes reports that "access to MSK's data could help cancer care providers make more informed decisions about treatment options based on the molecular specifics of each patient's disease." https://lnkd.in/eWf4WbJ5

“Medicine is a field where you don't need to squint to see the benefits of AI. It's your mom, it's your dad, it's your sister, it's your brother. And it's the doctors who will care for them in their most vulnerable moments.” Yesterday, during the UN General Assembly, we announced a partnership with Anthropic to make OpenEvidence available free of charge to physicians in low- and middle-income countries, placing life-saving medical AI into the hands of physicians worldwide, regardless of the economics. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and OpenEvidence partner to advance precision oncology. This partnership will integrate OpenEvidence within MSK’s Epic workflow, as well as bring OncoKB™, MSK's precision oncology knowledge base, directly into OpenEvidence answers – making it accessible to our over 1.1M verified NPI users. “We're excited that OpenEvidence will widen OncoKB's reach, bringing MSK's expert interpretation of a patient's unique cancer genetics to cancer care providers across the U.S. to help them make molecularly informed treatment decisions,” said Debyani Chakravarty, PhD, Lead Scientist, OncoKB, Kravis Center for Molecular Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. “OncoKB is rooted in its mission to enable universal access to MSK's expert interpretation of precision oncology data, which is particularly important now as molecular profiling is considered standard care for practically all cancers.” “AI has the potential to fundamentally change how we translate an increasingly complex and rapidly expanding body of knowledge into better decisions for patients,” said Anaeze Offodile, M.D., Chief Strategy Officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). “Realizing that potential requires more than powerful technology—it requires thoughtful integration into how care is delivered. Our work with OpenEvidence reflects MSK’s broader approach to AI: embedding trusted tools into clinical practice in ways that augment the expertise of our clinicians, reduce friction, and ultimately enable more informed, evidence-based care.” Read more about the partnership here: https://lnkd.in/eQZxfW3e

OpenEvidence reposted this
The below is true. AI saved my sister's life. I put all the data I could find into OpenEvidence and it came up with a solution I would never have thought of on my own, nor did any of the critical care specialists caring for her suggest it. Sincere gratitude to OpenEvidence. I have no financial conflict.
There is a human side to AI.

OpenEvidence and Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System Partner to Advance Medical Intelligence for Global Health: The partnership deploys OpenEvidence to more than 10,000 clinicians at Penn Medicine and expands global access to high quality clinical decision-making, including through the Botswana-UPenn Partnership, advancing a shared commitment to global health and AI-enabled clinical decision support in low- and middle-income countries. "At Penn Medicine, our mission in pursuit of clinical excellence very much includes efforts to extend it to all areas where it can have the greatest impact," said Srinath Adusumalli, MD, MSHP, MBMI, FACC, Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer and a cardiologist at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. "A partnership like this gives our clinicians, here at home and elsewhere, the ability to instantly surface the best available medical evidence in the context of the patient in front of them.” That includes the 25-year-old Botswana-UPenn Partnership, one of the longest-running academic health partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa. “Building a customized set of tools in direct partnership with BUP clinicians and partners reflects a shared conviction that effective clinical AI will be shaped by local expertise and adapted for the conditions they practice in,” said Farouk Dako, MD, MPH, Director of the Botswana-UPenn Partnership and Strategic Advisor for Academic Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine Center for Global Health. “This collaboration offers a model for extending Penn Medicine’s resources and expertise to lower-resource settings through sustainable partnerships.” Read more about the partnership here: https://lnkd.in/g2R_yGUP
