It was great to spend time in Austin for important conversations about CHOICE Arrangements with the CMS/CCIIO team, SBA, Texas employer and broker leaders and Take Command. The question was not whether health benefits matter. It was how to give employers more workable ways to offer coverage and give employees a better chance to choose a plan that fits their families, doctors, prescriptions, and budgets. CHOICE Arrangements will not be the right answer for every business. But for employers looking for a more predictable way to contribute to coverage, they can be a valuable option, especially when employees have clear information, trusted guidance, and real support during enrollment. Texas is well positioned to keep this conversation moving. There is real interest in practical tools that can help employers offer benefits while giving consumers more choice and control. Thank you to CMS, SBA, Take Command, NABIP Texas, and everyone who made time to share their perspective. I’m looking forward to what comes next. Thank you to Bill Briggs and the U.S. Small Business Administration for convening this conversation with Georgia Insurance Commissioner John King, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, Oscar Health's Catherine (Cathy) Grason, Esq., a leading voice for ICAA, and other leaders to highlight what CHOICE Arrangements can mean for small businesses and working families. The value is straightforward: employers get a predictable, affordable way to offer health benefits, and employees get the freedom to choose coverage that fits their families. Through Georgia Access For Business, small employers now have a clear place to find those options. When federal agencies, state regulators, and industry partners work together on awareness and adoption, small businesses win. ICAA looks forward to seeing more states follow Georgia's lead. 💡 Most employees want more choice in their health coverage. Many aren’t getting it today. 94% of U.S. workers want more insurance choices, while 55% of health plan members say they’re dissatisfied with their current employer-sponsored coverage. That gap is part of why CHOICE Arrangements, (formerly Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements, or, ICHRAs), are getting more attention from employers. Instead of choosing one plan for everyone, employers can fund coverage while employees choose from individual-market options that better fit their needs. More choice won’t solve every benefits challenge. But it can give employees more control over one of their most personal decisions. 💡 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dTZH3YDh
