Driving it down Peachtree. This weekend was awesome as we opened our newest store in the heart of Atlanta. I had the chance to spend time with customers, associates and partners and see firsthand the passion this city has for the game of golf. That energy showed up early Saturday morning with hundreds of people lined up as we opened our doors. It was an honor to welcome our Chairman and owner, Arthur M. Blank, along with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington Jr. during the GO festivities. We were also thrilled to celebrate alongside Atlanta sports legends Matt Ryan, Jessie Tuggle and Brad Guzan. Ahead of the opening, we spent time with organizations across Atlanta, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Atlanta VA Medical Center, and the Alfred “Tup” Holmes Golf Course, highlighting the positive impact golf can have for youth, families, and neighbors. Proud to also highlight the important work of First Tee and Youth on Course, organizations that use golf to teach character, leadership, and provide access to the game for young people. Special thanks to our vendor partners, TaylorMade Golf Company and Callaway Golf. From TaylorMade’s support of our Dryvebox mobile simulator tour across Atlanta to Callaway’s tailgate tee-off experience. We appreciate their partnership in making the opening special. Most importantly, a huge thank you to our associates who brought this store to life.

Making an impact off the course and in the community 👏
The Home Depot co-founder and notable Atlanta sports executive Arthur M. Blank and legendary golfer Tiger Woods are partnering on an initiative to turn a shuttered Atlanta elementary school into a new youth learning lab with free programming in science, technology, engineering, arts and math. The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation is giving $20 million to the TGR Foundation to create a learning lab at the site of the former Capitol View Elementary School on Metropolitan Parkway, Blank announced at an event hosted by the Woods’ foundation. Capitol View Elementary opened in the late 1920s and was shuttered in 2013. It sits about three miles south of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The neighborhood surrounding the school has some of the lowest economic mobility outcomes in the city. “I have immense respect and admiration for Tiger, not only for his legendary career, but for the way he continues to lead with purpose off the course,” Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, said in a statement.
