Rip City is more than a place. It’s a community. Every year, we have the opportunity to make an impact beyond the court by creating opportunities, celebrating cultures and supporting the people who make up the fabric of Rip City. Take a look at what we accomplished together this past year and the work that we will continue in order to move Rip City forward. Visit trailblazers.com/community to read the full report!

Earlier this month, Trail Blazers staff members teamed up with our partner Kimberly-Clark Professional for a SOLVE cleanup day around the Rose Quarter. Rain or shine, it’s always a good day to join together for a cleanup!

This weekend, we were proud to once again join our community at the Portland Pride Parade, celebrating the joy, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community alongside thousands of Oregonians. While Pride Month falls outside the NBA regular season, we're proud to celebrate our annual Pride Night each December, and we're honored to stand alongside our community every summer for Portland Pride. Happy Portland Pride, Rip City!

Rip City, we need your voice. The future of Moda Center, the Blazers’ home court and one of Oregon’s most important civic gathering places, will be decided by local leaders this summer. On June 13 and 14, the Portland City Council will hold listening sessions in neighborhood parks to hear directly from Portlanders. Earlier this year, Oregon committed $365 million in state bonds toward a renovation of Moda Center. This summer, the City of Portland and Multnomah County must decide whether to join that commitment and help fund a project that will preserve and modernize this important public asset for future generations. It’s important they hear from you: the fans, families, concertgoers, small business owners, and community members whose lives have been positively impacted by Moda Center. Show up. Share your story. Help Portland’s leaders understand what Moda Center means to this city and this region and why its future matters. Because this is bigger than basketball. Even if you don't speak to City officials, come in your Blazers gear and show your support. Can’t attend in person? You can still make your voice heard by sending a message of support to City Council: https://lnkd.in/eZADrC5f

The Portland Trail Blazers and Nike N7 were proud to host the inaugural Oregon Native American All-Star Series which was a powerful weekend centered on culture, community, and basketball. Student-athletes representing nine federally recognized tribes from across Oregon came together for a weekend of connection and celebration, including career panels at the Philip H. Knight Campus at Nike World Headquarters, a senior recognition ceremony honoring the Class of 2026, a Rip City Hoops clinic, and boys & girls all-star games. Thank you to the many Tribes and Tribal partners for your collaboration!

The Rose Quarter and Moda Center recently celebrated several major sustainability milestones, as we continue to build more a sustainable and equitable future on and off the court. Moda Center was officially re-certified as a LEED Platinum building, earning 81 points. This is a significant achievement reflecting the continued commitment to environmentally responsible practices across energy, water, waste and building operations. At the 2026 Green Sports Alliance Summit, Moda Center also earned four Play to Zero awards, recognizing leadership in renewable energy, waste diversion, energy reduction and water replenishment initiatives. During Earth Month in April, the Rose Quarter achieved a 97% return rate for the Rip City Reuse program — the highest average return rate in the program’s history. The campus also diverted 86% of waste from landfills through recycling, composting and material reuse efforts. Learn more about our sustainability efforts at https://lnkd.in/eZycMV-Z.

Last week, we hosted our Trail Blazers Math Hoops Regional tournament, presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union. The day brought together students from across Oregon to compete in math fundamentals through the NBA Math Hoops physical and digital basketball-themed board game. The event was a blast, and even had a special guest appearance from last year's Global Math Hoops champion, Kingston!
