During a recent inspection, our team identified a critical safety oversight: a crane operator had deployed outriggers directly over an underground utility line. Recognizing the potential risk to infrastructure and personnel, we immediately halted the operation and worked with the contractor to reposition the equipment safely. Additionally, we noted the absence of outrigger pads – an essential requirement to prevent ground displacement and protect subsurface assets. By proactively addressing both issues, we not only ensured compliance with safety standards but also demonstrated our commitment to protecting utility integrity and minimizing operational risk. This is a clear example of how our inspection approach goes beyond compliance.
