Reframe Systems is one of ApartmentBuildings.com's 2026 AB 100 Innovators of the Year 🏆 The award recognizes our work with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes at The Bolt in Woburn, MA, where a 554-square-foot Reframe unit serves as the on-site sales and leasing office during construction. The unit mirrors the main building’s design and finishes and is planned to become an accessory dwelling unit once The Bolt is occupied, creating permanent housing from a temporary office. Thank you to Connect CRE for the recognition! Read the feature in the comments.

Climate-resilient homes for all, built in autonomous microfactories
About us
We are on a mission to unlock resilient housing as a basic human right. To achieve that mission, we're developing low-cost robotic microfactories to build and retrofit net-zero homes 2x faster, 2x cheaper and with 10x lower carbon.

When Forbes asked housing leaders how they would put $400M and 250 workers working 20 hours a day, seven days a week toward solving the housing crisis, our CEO, Vikas Enti, had a clear answer: "Reframe would use the 12.75 million labor hours to produce about 4 million square feet of missing middle housing every year with our microfactories." The housing crisis will take everyone, everywhere, all at once: federal programs, industry coalitions, and builders, each pulling a different lever. Reframe is contributing a regional microfactory network powered by software, robotics, and physical AI, building the engine for housing abundance to deliver more homes in the communities where people want to live. Thank you, Jennifer Castenson, for including Reframe in your latest Forbes piece. Read the full piece in the comments below.

"The goal is to augment the entire construction process" – our CEO, Vikas Enti told Global Construction Review. GCR covered how we're putting our new $40M in growth funding to work by bringing FAB1, our new microfactory, in Billerica, MA, online. Our software layers in local zoning, terrain, climate and architectural requirements, then generates the production files and field instructions that guide every build. FAB1 is designed to produce up to 500 multifamily units or 250 single-family homes a year. So far we've completed 10 homes and expect to deliver another 114 over the next year. Thank you Joe Quirke for the feature! Full story in the comments.

This week, our CTO Felipe Polido joined MassRobotics’ Climate Robotics panel alongside leaders building the future of robotics. Joining him were Sidney McLaurin, CEO of Fleet Robotics, Cormac Hondros-McCarthy, CEO of LiftLabs, and Jay M. Wong, CEO of Luminous Robotics. The discussion explored where robotics and climate resilience intersect, and served as a reminder that the same technology reshaping logistics and manufacturing can also transform how homes get built. At Reframe, our robotics-powered microfactories help deliver homes 3x faster while reducing embodied carbon by up to 85% and generating up to 80% less waste. That is how we’re bringing resilient housing to the communities that need it most.

Heading to Dirty Jobs in San Francisco on September 23rd. Excited to talk dirty with Jay Kapoor and VSC Ventures! We build resilient homes with robots and AI, and even though our next raise is some distance away, it is always great to meet growth stage investors and like-minded founders! DM me if you're going! #DirtyJobs 🔥

“Robotics is a tool, and we need to create the right conditions around which we can make robotics significantly more successful.” – CEO Vikas Enti on MTS Live today. Vikas joined Sophia Dew to discuss our $40M growth funding and Reframe’s vision for the future. This funding will help build the conditions robots need to succeed: more microfactories, closer to the customers who need them, each one specialized for the market it serves. That's how a network scales faster than a single mega-facility. Every new factory brings us closer to a construction industry that isn't defined by scarcity, where developers get predictable timelines, families get homes they can actually afford, and allows us to reach our goal of 1 million homes by 2040. This is what the next phase of Reframe looks like: more proof that housing abundance is scalable. Thank you for the thoughtful conversation Sophia Dew.

“The housing shortage is an abstraction until you're the person who can't find a home in the community you want to live in” – Vikas Enti, CEO and co-founder of Reframe Systems. The U.S. is short 4.7 million homes, and Reframe is expanding across North America with new funding to meet urgent housing demand. Today we announced $40M in financing, our second Massachusetts microfactory that can produce up to 500 multifamily units or 250 single-family homes annually, and a wildfire-resilient bungalow in Altadena, California, that is nearing completion, with key handover expected in the coming weeks. Traditional construction hasn't kept pace with America's 4.7-million-home shortage or its shortage of more than 500,000 skilled workers. Reframe's regional microfactories combine robotics and physical AI, delivering homes 3x faster while reducing costs by more than 20%, without giving up the ability to adapt to local zoning, climate, and design needs. This is what building housing as a system, not a series of one-off projects, looks like in practice. We’re on track to build 1 million homes by 2040, and our new funding will help make that goal a reality. Thank you to Rocket Drew at The Information for the exclusive coverage on this next chapter. Reframe has been included in the 18 companies selected for the first round of Massachusetts’ new Climatetech Tax Incentives Program! We’ve been awarded an $800,000 tax credit to support our new 115,000-square-foot fabrication center in Billerica, opening this fall. The new facility will expand our manufacturing capacity as we continue to grow our team and operations in Massachusetts. It’s great to see the state investing in companies helping build its climate-tech ecosystem, and we’re proud to be part of it. Thank you to Jon Chesto at Boston Globe Media for including Reframe and highlighting this win in the climate-tech industry. Full story in comments!

Launch FAB1 in 70 days - accelerate resilient housing production. It's an audacious (and crazy) goal bordering on the very thin edge of being unreasonable and unrealistic. It's also a good reminder that we can do hard things, incredibly fast in the US and I'm reminded of this post titled Fast from Patrick Collison (link in comments). Six tenets, ten weeks, one factory. How we are making decisions while commissioning FAB1. 🏡 🔨 🌎
A rapid factory commissioning is controlled chaos. Tenets are the rule set for when decisions collide. After yesterday's red line post, Andre Brown asked what the FAB1 tenets actually say so I am sharing them here. For context: these extend Reframe Systems' operating principles, applied to commissioning FAB1: Safe by Design. Solve hazards with engineering, not luck. 5S discipline from day one, and anyone can stop work if standards slip. We refuse to launch into chaos. Design for Density. Density is efficiency and movement is a tax. We enforce artificial scarcity on space, even in a building this size, because we are building a template, not just a factory. Bias-for-Action. Reversible decisions get made immediately, no meetings. One-way doors, like where the bridge cranes go, get the slow, deep treatment. Speed comes from knowing the difference. Creativity Before Capital. Scale is a call for discipline, not excess. Engineering first, spend second. Name the Owner, Set the Date. "We need to fix this" is how things do not get fixed. Every task, decision, and workcell has one named owner and one date, or it is merely a suggestion. Constructive Candor. Serve the mission, not the ego. Debate with data, step on toes when needed, then commit fully. 70 days is not a lot of time to stand up a factory. These define our mental model for success. We are hiring across the board to staff this facility, from carpenters to Principal Engineers. Come build with us! https://lnkd.in/gdAWN9Pt
