Project Throwback Thursday 578,097 SF. 25 paving days. One impressive result. Our team successfully delivered 159,215 SF of 14" Dual Lift RCC industrial dock construction, followed by a 2-mile-long, 40-foot-wide haul road in Victoria, Texas. When the Port of Gulfport needed a pavement solution capable of handling extreme terminal loads on a fast-track schedule, Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) delivered: 🔹 47,720 SY of 18-inch RCC 🔹 47,720 SY of 8-inch base 🔹 Full site excavation and reconstruction 🔹 New drainage, electrical, and utility infrastructure 🔹 Completed from mobilization to turnover in just five months This project involved far more than paving. Crews coordinated extensive underground utility work, drainage improvements, and fire protection infrastructure before placing RCC across the terminal. Even with a military exercise occurring on site during construction, work progressed seamlessly without disrupting ongoing port activities. As H-E-B continues expanding its distribution network across Greater Houston, Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) was selected to provide the speed, durability, and cost-efficiency needed for this large-scale logistics facility. ✅ 813,000+ SF of RCC pavement installed ✅ 10-inch cement-stabilized subgrade foundation ✅ 21,921 LF of curb ✅ Entire RCC paving scope completed in just 38 paving days Despite ongoing utility work and concurrent building construction, a carefully phased paving approach kept the project on schedule while delivering a heavy-duty pavement solution built to withstand constant freight traffic.
