📢 Attention Event Organizers! The holiday season is right around the corner and with it comes a busy season of festivals, markets, and community gatherings. Before you finalize your plans, remember: State law (SB 1383) and Sacramento County Code require all events in unincorporated Sacramento County to provide recycling, organics, and garbage containers throughout your event. Here's where to start: ✅ Subscribe to waste collection services through a Sacramento County Franchised Waste Hauler before your event ✅ Set up containers throughout your event with labels and clear signage: 🗑️ Garbage — black/grey containers 🍂 Organics (food scraps & food-soiled paper) — green containers ♻️ Recycling (glass, metal, plastic, clean cardboard) — blue containers ✅ Mark container locations on your event site map ✅ Station staff or volunteers at collection points to guide attendees and prevent contamination ✅ Make sure your team knows the hauler's drop-off and pick-up schedule For more information, check out our Special Events Waste Management Guide: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gqQ9V7Wy
