In our latest live, we sat down with @John Garcia, founder of Solyco Capital. Solyco is one of the sponsors bringing leaders into the room at BB&C12 this October, and Garcia joined the conversation to talk markets. Asked where he'd put his money right now if a correction hits, his answer wasn't a stock pick. It was a filter. He thinks a real correction, maybe a full shift, is coming, not just the tech bubble cooling off. Inside that, the safest ground he named was energy, data storage, and compute — but he was specific that the sector alone doesn't protect you. Being in the right industry means nothing if you're not in the right company inside it. The test he uses is the same one Buffett has used for decades: would this company still be delivering in ten years, not just riding a trend for the next two. This is his view, not investment advice.
