As Stater Bros. celebrates 90 years, we’re reflecting on the leaders and values that have helped shape our legacy. Jack H. Brown believed strongly in the transformative power of education and the opportunities it creates. In 1993, in recognition of his personal generosity and dedication to education, California State University, San Bernardino named the newly constructed home of its College of Business and Public Administration Jack H. Brown Hall. His belief was captured in words engraved on a monument honoring his dedication: “Before there can be equal opportunity in life... We’re proud to announce the promotion of Mike Reed to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Stater Bros. Markets. 🎉 Since joining Stater Bros. in 2014, Mike has continued to take on greater responsibilities across our organization, demonstrating strong leadership, sound judgment and a commitment to delivering results. Most recently, as Senior Vice President and CFO, he has overseen our financial accountability and real estate development while helping lead a team responsible for remodeling the vast majority of our 165 stores over the past several years. We are pleased to announce the promotion of Ashley Howard to the position of Category Manager in the Marketing Department! In this role, Ashley will be responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of sales and merchandising programs including the coordination of product promotions and pricing strategies. Ashley joined Stater Bros. Markets as a Merchandising Specialist in 2021. Most recently, she held the role of Procurement Buyer in the Purchasing Department. Ashley holds a Medical Assistant Certificate from American Career College. She has also completed the WAFC Retail Management Certificate program. Working together to help nourish our communities. 💙 Stater Bros. Charities and Chobani supported COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (CAPSBC) with a $20,000 donation to help address food insecurity in our local communities. In addition to the monetary donation, 1,127 pounds of canned food were donated, estimated to provide approximately 940 meals to individuals and families in need. These contributions will support CAPSBC’s ongoing efforts to provide fresh produce, non-perishable food and essential groceries to underserved communities throughout San Bernardino County.
