  • We have lots of photos in our library, but these will always have a special place in our hearts. This month, we celebrated 10 years of our Pawsitive Play Program, and we wanted to share some extra love for the pups and handlers who bring so much love to Texas Children’s. Every day, this special team brings comfort, joy and support to our patients and families, whether it’s a reassuring paw, a much needed snuggle or simply being there when they’re needed most. We’re so grateful for our entire facility dog team and the care and heart they bring to Texas Children’s.

  • We’re proud to share that Texas Children’s has been named to Becker’s Healthcare’s 2026 list of Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs.️🎗️ Every day, our cancer care teams work to provide children and families with the best care possible while advancing research and finding ways to treat childhood cancer. We’re proud of everyone behind this recognition and the work that continues through Kinder Children’s Cancer Center, a joint venture between The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital to end childhood cancer. • On behalf of Kinder Children's Cancer Center, representatives from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s attended the 17th Annual Childhood Cancer Summit on Capitol Hill. During the summit, they presented Congressman Michael McCaul, founder and co-chair of the Congressional Childhood Cancer Caucus, with the Champion for Children Award. The award recognizes nearly 20 years of leadership and advocacy on behalf of children with cancer and their families. Presented as a personalized glass bell, it symbolizes an important milestone in a child's cancer journey. This shared commitment is at the heart of Kinder Children’s Cancer Center and our mission to bring hope to children and families while working to end childhood cancer.

  • Ten years at No. 1 means ten years of showing up for families when they needed us most. Ten years of holding onto hope. Ten years of finding new possibilities. Ten years of caring for every heartbeat along the way. To every child and family who have trusted our Heart Center, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey. ❤️

  • ✨Feel Good Friday ✨  After more than three weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Texas Children’s in Katy, Ethan recently received the great news he is headed home.  The 16-year-old, who was born with cerebral palsy and lives with epilepsy, experienced serious respiratory distress and persistent fevers during his stay.  When his condition worsened, members of his care team stepped in without hesitation. Respiratory therapists and nurses worked throughout the night to stabilize him, provide breathing treatments and ensure his mom, Amalie, could get some much-needed rest.  Several even rearranged assignments or returned for additional shifts so they could continue caring for him.  Amalie also credits Dr. Graf, chief medical officer at Texas Children’s in Katy, with advocating for Ethan and helping guide the care that ultimately brought him home.  “We are surrounded by an entire team of people for whom this is more than a job,” Amalie shared.  This Feel Good Friday, we're honoring Ethan’s homecoming and the compassionate, collaborative team that helped make it possible.  #FeelGoodFriday

  • We’re proud to celebrate 97 Texas Children’s physicians recognized as Houstonia Top Doctors for 2026 — the highest number of awarded pediatric physicians. While this recognition honors individual physicians, their work is part of something even greater. Every day, our physicians bring their expertise, compassion and commitment together to provide extraordinary care for women, children and families. Congratulations to our 2026 Houstonia Top Doctors and to all the amazing physicians who make Texas Children’s extraordinary. 🥳

  • Texas Children's Hospital reposted this

Today is a special day for Texas Children’s. Texas Children’s has been named the #1 children’s hospital in Texas for the 18th consecutive year, and our NICU ranked #5 in the nation — even more meaningful, today is NICU Nurse Appreciation Day. As home to the largest NICU in the country, with more than 650 NICU nurses across our system, there is so much to celebrate. Through my work on the Bad Pants Open, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our NICU leadership and seeing firsthand the incredible compassion, complexity and dedication this team brings to families every day. I’m looking forward to celebrating our NICU nurses in Houston, The Woodlands and Austin later this month at our Bad Pants Open NICU Nurse Appreciation Breakfast Celebrations, sponsored by JE Dunn Construction. To register, support or learn more about the Bad Pants Open and the direct support it provides to our NICU families, visit BadPantsOpen.org. • We are honored to be ranked No. 1 in Texas by U.S. News & World Report for the 18th consecutive year! 🥳 Texas Children’s has once again earned a place on the Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll, recognizing us among the top children’s hospitals in the country. Every evaluated specialty was recognized nationally, and Texas Children’s remains No. 1 in the Southwest for the sixth consecutive year. At the center of this recognition are the women, children and families who trust us with their care. Alongside them are the physicians, nurses, researchers, and team members who bring their expertise and passion to caring for each child and family. For 18 years, this recognition has reflected the people who care for our patients, support their families, and work together to advance pediatric care. We are proud to celebrate them and all they make possible for children and families. We remain here For Your Everything. ❤️ #TexasChildrens #ForYourEverything

  • We joined the Houston Texans for a season kickoff event and celebrated the creativity of Texas Children’s patients, whose artwork is now featured on light pole banners at Reliant Stadium. It was especially meaningful to see their work represented in such a prominent space as the Texans begin a new season. The kickoff event also featured the Texans’ Kickoff Kids, the Voice of the Houston Texans Marc Vandermeer, TORO and the Texans Cheerleaders, making for a memorable celebration. We’re proud to see the creativity and spirit of our children represented at the stadium and look forward to cheering on the Texans this season. 🏈
