Absolut’s artist collaborations stretch back to 1985, when Andy Warhol became the first artist commissioned to reinterpret its now-famous bottle, beginning a series that has since produced more than 850 works. Absolut Vodka’s collaboration with KAWS furthers that history with a bottle that is unmistakably his, wrapping his CHUM character around the clear glass so the figure appears to physically hold the label in place. DIELINE: The global platform and awards recognizing creativity, innovation, and excellence in packaging design.
About us
Established in 2007 by Andrew Gibbs, Dieline has become the leading media brand for consumer packaging and consumer brands. Dieline is committed to supporting the advancement of the package design industry in all its forms. Our website began as a platform for the industry to share design innovation and creativity through original editorial content, and reader-submitted projects. Our platform grew to include Dieline Awards, our global package design competition, and Dieline Conference, our annual package design event. Dieline is the world’s most visited packaging design website, and it highlights the importance and value of packaging design for brands in today’s world. In 2018, Dieline has evolved into a high-level bespoke creative platform for package designers, brand designers, consumer brands, agencies, suppliers, sustainability experts, students, and packaging manufacturers. With our new platform, Dieline’s core focus for 2019 and beyond is to build a global community of packaging designers and to advocate the packaging industry towards more sustainable solutions through creativity and innovation.

HardCuore®️ transformed Ultrabar into Ultra B, ditching the clinical supplement look and feel for a competitive-sports energy vibe. It’s protein #packaging, inspired by race bibs. Does this feel more motivating than typical protein packaging? Let us know in the comments.

Anything with a hint of tactile simplicity is catching my eye these days, and House Guests turns an otherwise familiar bottle into a wonderfully strange little object. Saxon Campbell wraps the glass with scalloped paper labels that look somewhere between vintage postage stamps, fabric swatches, and old-fashioned fruit stickers, then cuts a slit through the center so the label becomes dimensional. Bubs became such an obsession during the Swedish candy craze of 2024 that demand reportedly reached 14 times what the company could supply. Recently, Rob Clarke and Super Tuesday rebuilt the #packaging around the candy’s oval shape, letting the magically squishy letters echo the product instead of sitting above it. What are your thoughts on the new #design? Let us know in the comments.

Why are we talking trash? Why this column now? Packaging has entered a new era. #Sustainability is no longer a priority because it’s competing with inflation, tariffs, retailer requirements, legislation, supply chain instability, and consumer skepticism. The industry needs conversations that acknowledge those realities without losing sight of long-term progress. Our new column, Trash Talk, from Interact Brands Sustainability Manager Valerie Hawks, explores that tension and maybe even offers some hope for the future. Poland Spring has been part of the Northeast since the nineteenth century, tracing the brand back to 1845 and still sourcing its spring water in Maine today. For the sparkling range, Interact Brands smartly brings that history back to the bottle, replacing the old wall of oversized fruit with rolling hills, pine forests, and a winding blue spring inspired by national park and travel posters. MorningStar Farms has been making plant-based and vegetarian foods since 1974, giving this refresh more than five decades of #brandhistory to play with. Design Bridge and Partners brings that history forward through deep farm greens, warm retro #typography, and dense botanical #illustrations that feel closer to 1970s food #packaging than the polished minimalism sometimes associated with newer plant-based brands. Let us know what you think of the #redesign in the comments!

Sun Cruiser is a new hard iced tea brand from The Boston Beer Company, with #branding and #packaging that conjure the feeling that summer can last forever, regardless of the weather outside. Working with Stout Design Inc to bring the brand to life, the sessionable hard tea offers a tantalizing option in one of the fastest-growing subcategories in the RTD landscape. What do you think of the design? Let us know in the comments.
