For West Michigan manufacturers, technology can create opportunities to streamline processes and make everyday work more efficient. At Change Parts, Inc., an Industry 4.0 Assessment helped identify an opportunity to streamline a month-end accounting process. After upgrading their Global Shop system, the process went from about four hours to an hour and a half, saving an estimated 30 to 35 hours each year. The goal wasn't just to adopt new technology, but to find a practical use case that could make employees' work more efficient and give them more time to focus on other priorities. Hear Cody Leedham share how the team approached the upgrade and the impact it's already having. For those who may not know SxanPro, a Vizient company, it is a Grand Rapids-based healthcare technology company founded by Ashlea Souffrou, CMRP that uses patented mobile technology and Unique Device Identification to help healthcare organizations better understand and manage their inventory. Today, The Right Place is excited to congratulate SxanPro on being acquired by Vizient, one of the largest healthcare performance improvement companies in the country. This is a big moment for West Michigan’s technology community - and timely as we celebrate Tech Week Grand Rapids this week! Seeing a woman-founded company built right here in Grand Rapids reach this kind of national scale is a powerful reflection of the talent, innovation and leadership growing in our region. So proud to see SxanPro’s story become another proof point for what is being built here.
Today, we’re excited to welcome SxanPro to Vizient, adding technology that helps healthcare organizations better understand what supplies they have, where they are, and whether they are ready to use. https://viz.inc/4xGNTuM Through SxanPro’s patented mobile scanning technology, enabled by Unique Device Identification (UDI), healthcare organizations can identify expired or unused products, reduce operational waste, and build a more efficient healthcare supply chain. It’s another way we’re helping healthcare organizations reduce waste, make the most of their resources, and ensure the right products are available when and where they’re needed.
