2026 MOG MILE: FIND A LOCATION NEAR YOU This annual commemoration honors the heroic actions of Task Force Ranger in Somalia on October 3, 1993. There are 24 events happening across 15 states and DC, plus two in Europe! Each one is different: 1-mile walks, 5ks, obstacle courses, and more, at locations from gyms to vineyards to coffee shops. Grab your Ranger buddies, show up, and honor the fallen of Task Force Ranger. All proceeds support Ranger and Gold Star and Fallen Ranger families. The 2nd Ranger Battalion was reactivated on October 1, 1974, in response to the changing nature of warfare and military needs during the Cold War era. This reactivation occurred during a period of military reform and modernization, led by the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Creighton Abrams. He was instrumental in re-establishing the Ranger units, believing that the U.S. Army needed elite, light infantry forces that could conduct rapid, small-unit operations in both conventional and unconventional conflicts. 2/75 has consistently proven its value in some of the most challenging conflicts and missions, carrying on the proud Ranger legacy that dates to Rogers Rangers. Sometimes you need to slow down, make an azimuth adjustment, and invest in the most important relationship on your team. TRF is hosting its third annual Marriage Enrichment Retreat October 23–25, 2026, and 3 couples spots remain. The retreat is designed for married Ranger couples who want dedicated time to reconnect, strengthen their relationship, and build practical tools for communication and navigating challenges together. The retreat is fully funded by TRF. Participants are responsible only for travel to and from the event. Limited travel scholarships may be available. The retreat will be held at a beach house on the Puget Sound in Des Moines, WA. Each couple will have a private bedroom, with most having a private bath. The weekend will include group sessions, breakout opportunities, outdoor activities, and an intentional date night.
