To every partner, donor, volunteer, and advocate who believes housing is health care—thank you. Today, we celebrated the opening of Seabrook Square II, a 60-unit permanent supportive housing community that will provide housing, healthcare access, and supportive services for Austinites experiencing homelessness. Every key represents more than a place to live. It represents stability, dignity, hope, and the opportunity to thrive. A special thank you to our guest tour guides, Travis County Judge Andy Brown, Commissioner Brigid Shea, and David Gray, Director of Austin Homeless Strategies and Operations for the City of Austin, for helping us share this new apartment community with our guests. We are also grateful to our development and community partners who helped make this vision a reality, including Austin Housing Finance Corporation, Camden Property Trust, Capital A Housing, the City of Austin, Forge Craft Architecture + Design, The NHP Foundation, and Travis County. Seabrook Square II came to life because so many people believed in what home can make possible. We’re grateful to The Moody Foundation and Fran & George Ramsey for helping launch our capital campaign; to JP’s Peace, Love and Happiness Foundation and Shepherd 5 Points Family Foundation and to Glimmer Austin for supporting the food pantry, and to IKEA, Austin Regional Clinic: ARC and Texas Mutual Insurance Company for donating household items that will help residents feel welcomed from day one. Together, we're creating opportunities for more Austinites to heal, rebuild, and thrive. #HousingIsHealthcare #SupportiveHousing #AustinTX #IntegralCare #WelcomeHome #EndingHomelessness #MentalHealthandWellbeing
