What does it take to truly transform #ruralhealth? A shared language. Earlier this month at #HIMSS26, Unite Us’ Emily Anders, MPH and Katie Keating took the stage to discuss how data standardization is making that possible. With a shared foundation and standards-based referral infrastructure in place, states can move beyond tracking activities to proving real outcomes. This is particularly critical for rural communities where coordination is often more fragmented. Shoutout to industry leaders like the Gravity Project for advancing the shared data standards making this work possible 👏 Catch the full recap: https://bit.ly/3NA2uXV

I had the honor of attending and presenting at the Intermountain Ventures and Goldman Sachs Innovation Conference last week in Park City, Utah. I sat on the Payor Panel to discuss the challenges payors face alongside Robert Hitchcock, CEO of Select Health, and Taylor Justice, CEO of Unite Us. Representing WellBe Senior Medical, I was able to provide the "pay-vider" perspective. The panel agreed on a clear consensus: to improve outcomes and lower costs, we must place a greater emphasis on primary care and value-based models like we do at WellBe. We also agreed that managing the social determinants of health must be a core component of these models. I'm proud to lead a team at WellBe that already views social work and helping patients with their socioeconomic needs as a critical pillar of our care.

It’s a "coming-together" of college rivals! 🤝 Senior Manager of Data Science Jake Mason (University of St. Thomas) and Staff Data Engineer Michael Janson (St. John's University) recently visited Jake’s old stomping grounds at the University of St. Thomas. They shared their educational journeys and professional wisdom, proving that even the fiercest college rivals can find common ground in the world of data. Thanks for representing the #UniteUs team so well, Jake and Michael! 👏
I am grateful to Michael Janson and Jake Mason from Unite Us, who reprised their presentation to Data Analytics students about the roles of data scientists and data engineers in providing value to a data-driven organization. Thank you for sharing your educational journeys and work-related wisdom with our students! #dataanalytics #datascience #dataengineering

We continue to see incredible results from Missouri Department of Social Services ‘s Transformation of Rural Community Hospitals (TORCH) Model. This article shows how good partnership and strong buy-in can make a big difference. We are excited to see how the program evolves under the federally-backed Rural Health Transformation Program. Strong social care networks like those created by Unite Us, can change lives and communities. https://lnkd.in/eikKBmQr

What an incredible evening to celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth. 🌸 Last night, our own Emily Anders, MPH and Anna Becker, MPH, CSM were honored to attend the Annual #PINK Women’s Reception at the Illinois Governor’s Mansion in Springfield, hosted by First Lady MK Pritzker and Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton, Esq.. A heartfelt thank you to Liz Brown-Reeves for welcoming us into a room filled with remarkable women who are shaping policy and driving change across Illinois. It was wonderful to hear from Governor JB Pritzker as well, whose record of championing women’s health, advancing equal pay, and elevating women into leadership across #Illinois reflects a genuine and lasting commitment to the women of this state. We left feeling grateful, energized, and more committed than ever to the partnerships that make that work possible. At Unite Us, we’re proud to stand alongside leaders who are advancing health and opportunity for all Illinoisans.💗 #WomenInLeadership

If you’ve been watching #ThePitt recently, this won’t surprise you: but #EmergencyDepartment wait times across the U.S. are averaging nearly 3 hours, and can be even longer in some #communities. The real story? It’s not just about overcrowded emergency rooms. It’s about the underlying factors that impact health outcomes before someone even gets there. We sponsored a blog through ICMA - International City/County Management Association that explores how rising ED utilization is a signal of deeper system gaps, and how communities are turning things around through better coordination across #healthcare, social services, and #localgovernment.
