  • Executive hiring is a precision game. Have you considered retained search? Retained search allows for a dedicated, research-driven approach that uncovers high-impact leaders who aren’t actively applying but are open to the right opportunity. If you’re hiring for a role that truly matters, your search strategy should reflect it. Start here: https://lnkd.in/g_jjeWDz

  • Networking events are often positioned as a key sourcing channel, but how effective are they for your hiring? Let’s get a pulse check 👇 Poll: How effective are industry events for finding quality candidates? 1) Highly effective - great talent source 2) Some success, but not scalable 3) Minimal impact on hiring outcomes 4) Not part of our hiring strategy Your answer likely depends on role type, market conditions, and how intentional the approach is. If you’ve cracked the code on turning conversations into hires, share your approach. This is one area where practical insight goes a long way.

PDX Women in Tech (PDXWIT) is back!! We couldn't be happier! Lisa, Charlie, and Tami rocked it with the panel discussion. Lots of small breakout groups cultivated meaningful discussions and helped create connections. We are excited to see what the future brings for PDX WIT - stay tuned for more events coming soon! Feedback we received: Thank you so much for the opportunity to lead a discussion group at last night’s event at WeWork. It was an absolute pleasure to partner with PDXWIT and VanderHouwen to support such a talented group of professionals. The energy in the room was great, and I truly enjoyed facilitating the conversation around navigating the current market with resilience and positivity. I also wanted to mention that your team's segment on utilizing your recruiter services was fantastic - it provided such clear, actionable value for those of us in the trenches looking for work and really demystified your agency's process. Programs and events like these are what make the Portland tech community so special. Please let me know if I can support any future initiatives Deborah Z. Senior Marketing Professional
