  • The future of the customer relationship is being shaped by AI — and that's good news for both retailers and shoppers. The strategic question for retailers is no longer whether shoppers will use AI. It's which intelligence will represent the customer when purchase decisions are made — and what role the retailer plays in that moment. Retailers have an opportunity to do more than keep pace. They can use AI to build deeper, more trusted relationships with customers and make everyday decisions around food, health and nutrition more personal and useful — while keeping the retailer in the loop on how those recommendations get made. Gary Hawkins explores this in his latest article, examining the emerging race between personal AI, marketplace AI and retailer-owned intelligence. https://lnkd.in/eEgNbAe7 https://lnkd.in/eHsdhBgT

Gary Hawkins thank you for your important article “Who Owns the Customer?” This is a critical question for retailers in the new age of “Agentic Commerce.” VitalityIP is honored to have partnered with Schnucks Supermarkets to offer an agentic commerce solution in which the retailer can still #own their #customers and the #data! Built so that any other retailer (looking to have the same functionality as Schnucks Supermarkets) is able to work with us and lift off of VitalityIP’s platform with with their stores, data and customers #protected. “Schnucks Supermarkets offers an important counter example to the assumption that only Amazon , Walmart , Meta , or Instacart can participate meaningfully in agentic commerce. The family-owned regional grocer operates 112 stores across Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. Working with VitalityIP , it has launched an AI assistant through the Schnucks Rewards app and website that supports meal planning, savings, cooking guidance, dietary needs, health goals, wine pairing, party planning, and list or recipe uploads.” - Gary Hawkins Excited to be a part of this new movement and the impact that it will have on the retailers, precision nutrition, and ultimately consumers and their health! Michael Connor and Tom Henry - you are truly visionary CTO’s and your work will impact many! Reach out to me if you’d like to learn more! We will be releasing with more retailers throughout this 4th quarter of the year - come join us. #AgenticCommerce #OwnTheCustomer #PrecisionNutrition #FoodforHealth

  • The future of better health starts with what’s in your shopping cart. Today, we’re proud to take another important step for consumers toward a better grocery experience and better health. It’s the official launch of the Schnuck Markets, Inc. AI assistant with VitalityIP inside - bringing personalized nutrition into the everyday shopping experience. Together, we’re turning the complexity of nutrition into simple, useful guidance - helping consumers discover meals, foods and products that fit their needs, preferences and goals. And this is just the beginning. The technology and intelligence behind this experience are now ready for other retailers to leverage, bringing personalized nutrition and smarter shopping to their own customers. For VitalityIP, this is an important milestone in our mission to make precision nutrition accessible to everyone. • The future of health is in the grocery aisle. At VitalityIP, we are building an AI-powered digital nutritionist that makes food as medicine real, not a slogan. Here is the problem: 90% of adults have a lifestyle or health goal. Almost everyone has a nutrition-related health issue. People want to be healthier for themselves and their families, but their health data lives in a dozen disconnected places and no one translates the science into what actually goes in the cart. That is where we come in. We unite fragmented health data into one intelligent profile: nutrition, activity, sleep, medical history, testing, and genetics. Our agent-based AI turns that profile into personalized, science-backed meal plans and daily guidance. And we deliver it where decisions actually happen, embedded seamlessly into everyday shopping across grocery, pharmacy, food service, and delivery. This is agentic commerce with lifelong wellness built in. Real time. Fully personalized. Designed to protect retailers, their brands, and consumer data at every level. We have far more control over our health outcomes than most of us realize. Our mission is to put that control in everyone's hands. More to come. https://lnkd.in/eGnN5rNH #VitalityIP #FoodIsMedicine #BrainHealth #RetailHealth #AgenticAI

For years, we've talked about food as medicine. But for most people, personalized nutrition hasn't been available when they actually need it—while they're shopping. Today, that changes. We are proud to announce our partnership with Schnuck Markets, Inc. to launch an AI-powered shopping assistant that brings personalized nutrition directly into the grocery experience. At VitalityIP, we've built a platform that turns complex nutrition and health science into simple, practical guidance. Through a retailer's app, shoppers receive personalized meal ideas, recipes and product recommendations based on their health goals, food preferences, allergies, medications and lifestyle. Instead of asking shoppers to figure it out on their own, we're putting trusted nutrition guidance at their fingertips—right when they're making food choices. This is about making healthy choices easier. It's about giving people confidence that the foods they buy support their goals, whether they're managing weight, improving heart health, supporting healthy aging or simply feeding their families well. We're grateful to Schnucks for being early leaders and for recognizing that grocery retailers can play an important role in improving health. Their willingness to innovate helped bring this vision to life. The VitalityIP platform is now available to retailers nationwide, as well as health systems, employers and digital health partners. Together, we can make personalized nutrition accessible to millions of people—not someday, but today. This is more than AI. It's precision nutrition. And we're just getting started. Our founders, Sarah Hoit and Michael Connor, would like to thank Todd S., Tom Henry, Mary Moorkamp and the entire Schnucks team for their vision, partnership and collaboration. #RetailHealth #FoodIsMedicine #PrecisionNutrition #AI #RetailInnovation #HealthcareInnovation #PersonalizedNutrition

  • For decades, healthcare happened in hospitals and doctors' offices. Retail happened everywhere else. That distinction is disappearing. Consumers are looking for more than products. They want guidance. They want convenience. And increasingly, they want trusted partners who can help them live healthier lives. Retailers are uniquely positioned to meet that need. The places where we shop are becoming places where we can improve our health through nutrition, pharmacy, preventive care, technology and community. That's the vision behind Retail Health as a Force for Good. The Retail Health Initiative and FMI brought together leaders from retail, healthcare, academia and technology to explore one question: What happens when we put health at the center of retail? The answer is bigger than any one company. It's a roadmap for an industry. The future of retail isn't just about selling products. It's about helping people live healthier lives. This is just one of the ideas explored in our new white paper, Retail Health as a Force for Good. Drawing on two years of collaboration among leaders from retail, healthcare, technology and academia, it examines the trends reshaping our industry and outlines the actions retail leaders can take today. VitalityIP was created by Sarah Hoit and Michael Connor, to deliver AI-powered precision nutrition for retailers, health systems, employers and digital health partners. The platform lifts into the market this month. Contact us to talk through what a demo and proof of concept can look like. • This is an important reminder that brain health doesn’t begin when symptoms appear—it begins long before, shaped by the decisions we make throughout every stage of life. Research like this reinforces the need to move from reactive care to proactive, personalized prevention. By combining advances in AI, nutrition, wearable data, and precision health, we have an opportunity to help people optimize brain health before disease develops. Excited to see more research connecting maternal health, childhood development, and lifelong cognitive well-being. The future of healthcare is personalized, preventative, and continuous. Thanks, Harris Eyre, and the team for continuing to advance this important conversation. #BrainHealth #PrecisionNutrition #PreventiveHealth #AI #Longevity #VitalityIP

  • This is exactly the kind of food-as-medicine thinking we need more of. The gut-brain connection doesn’t get nearly enough airtime relative to how much it affects daily cognition and energy. Love this from WHOOP!

What if the biggest opportunity to reduce brain fog is changing how you fuel your body throughout the workday? On this week's episode of the WHOOP Podcast, WHOOP Global Head of Human Performance Dr. Kristen Holmes sits down with double board-certified physician and nutritionist Dr. Amy Shah to explore the science behind the gut-brain connection—and why optimizing your gut may be one of the most effective ways to improve focus, recovery, metabolic health, and long-term performance. Three lessons that stood out to us: 1. Your brain performs better when your gut is healthy. The gut and brain are in constant communication, with most signals traveling from the gut to the brain. The foods you eat shape that conversation. A diet rich in fiber and fermented foods helps support a healthier microbiome, which can improve energy, reduce brain fog, support mood, and create the conditions for better decision-making and sustained performance throughout the day. 2. Fuel your mornings to perform better all day. Many high performing people unintentionally front-load their day with caffeine, letting some of the most essential daily calories fall to the wayside. Dr. Shah explains why eating enough protein and fiber earlier in the day helps stabilize blood sugar, reduce afternoon brain fog, and support better decision-making throughout the workday. 3. The highest-impact habits are often the simplest. You don't need a complete nutrition overhaul to see meaningful results. Dr. Shah's evidence-based 30-30-3 framework offers a practical approach to building better energy, metabolic health, and resilience over time. 30 grams of protein at your first meal. 30 grams of fiber throughout the day. and 3 probiotic foods each day. The Bottom Line? You can’t master performance without a solid foundation. Managing your gut health is the secret to giving your body the inputs it needs to sustain energy, sharpen cognition, reduce inflammation, and recover well enough to perform again tomorrow. For more science-backed insights on optimizing your health and performance, listen to the latest episode of the WHOOP Podcast with Dr. Amy Shah on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.

  • 64% of grocers are reformulating for GLP-1. Yet, it's rare to find one who is telling customers specifically what to eat next. The FMI 2026 survey of 30 retailers representing more than 9,000 stores found nearly two-thirds are actively reformulating private-label products for the GLP-1 moment. 42% are already tagging shelves “GLP-1 friendly.” The shelf is changing. That’s the easy part. A sticker tells every shopper the same thing. It doesn’t know that the person on week two of treatment needs different fuel than the one on month ten — or that “GLP-1 friendly” means something different for a 39-year-old marathoner than it does for someone managing menopause. Reformulating the product is supply-side work. Knowing which product is right for this person, today, is demand-side intelligence — and right now, nobody owns it. That’s the gap VitalityIP fills: personalized nutrition at the point of decision, inside the apps, platforms, and grocery aisles that people already use to shop. The grocer who wins this moment isn’t the one with the biggest "GLP-1 Friendly" section. It’s the one who can tell customers who stand at the shelf: "Here’s what you need, personalized to YOU" The most trusted nutrition guidance meets the shelf you already shop. #GLP1 #PrecisionNutrition #GroceryRetail #FoodAsMedicine #RetailHealth

  • Brain health starts long before symptoms appear. New research from Harvard adds to the growing body of evidence linking ultra-processed food consumption with a higher risk of cognitive decline and dementia. While no single food determines your future, the choices we make every day can meaningfully influence long-term brain health. At VitalityIP, we believe nutrition shouldn’t be guesswork. By combining biomarkers, wearable data, and AI-powered personalization, we’re helping make brain-healthy nutrition practical, actionable, and sustainable—one meal at a time. Prevention isn’t about perfection. It’s about making better decisions, more consistently. #BrainHealth #Nutrition #PreventiveHealth #PrecisionNutrition #AI #Longevity #DementiaPrevention #CognitiveHealth

"If you’re concerned about keeping your brain healthy as you age, here’s one more reason to take a hard look at what’s in your pantry: a new study suggests that older adults who eat the most ultra-processed foods — think sugar-sweetened drinks, deli meats, and fast food — may face a meaningfully higher risk of cognitive decline compared with those who favor whole, minimally processed foods. In the study, published online June 3, 2026, by the American Journal of Public Health, Harvard researchers analyzed data from 5,370 older adults participating in the nationwide Health and Retirement Study, tracking them for nearly nine years between 2012 and 2020. Participants (average age 64, 55% women) completed dietary questionnaires at the start of the study, and underwent standardized memory and attention tests every two years to assess their cognitive health." https://lnkd.in/gpeCr928

Some evenings stay with you long after the night ends. The #CaringKind Forget-Me-Not Gala is one of them. The room was full of people who have chosen to stand alongside the families and caregivers facing Alzheimer's and dementia, and who refuse to let anyone walk that road alone. What moved me most wasn't the celebration itself, but the shared conviction underneath it: care is something we build together. I'm grateful to have spent the evening with colleagues, partners, and friends — some I've known for years, and some I was lucky to meet for the first time — all of us pulling in the same direction. Jane Seymour Seth Herzog Jim Taylor Kevin Jameson Abby Levy Meredith Oppenheimer. Thank you to Eleonora Tornatore-Mikesh and the entire CaringKind team for your ongoing partnership and for creating a community where families impacted by dementia find guidance, connection, and hope. A special thanks to Kelsey Grammer for sharing his powerful voice as a call to action. To everyone working to support caregivers, advance brain health, and ensure no one faces this disease alone — it's an honor to be in this with you. #CaringKind #ForgetMeNotGala #Alzheimers #DementiaCare #SocialImpact #Caregiving #SocialImpactPartners
