  • We are proud to support Artifx Cafe coffee and the business that Dr. Keith Whittingham, PhD, has created, supporting ethical farming and sustainability practices. If you have attend a Leadership Refresh event at the Chamber, you've likely tried it.

Sip with purpose this #NationalCoffeeDay. ☕ We proudly serve Artifx Cafe coffee, founded by Dr. Keith Whittingham, PhD of the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and dedicated to empowering coffee-farming communities through direct-trade and sustainable practices. Every cup you enjoy supports ethical farming, and 100% of our net profits at The Alfond Inn (including those from your cup of coffee) fund scholarships for Rollins College students. 🎓🌱 #TheAlfondInn #ArtifxCafe #WinterParkFL #OrlandoHotel #HospitalityImpact

  • Our Leadership Refresh series offers professional development to our entire business community, and this past session was an outstanding experience learning about leadership styles. Thank you, Chevalier Lovett for sharing your expertise! Be sure to save the date for the next Refresh on Oct. 30!

What happens when you take a step back and look at how you lead, and how others experience your leadership? Our recent Leadership Compass session with guest speaker Chevalier Lovett gave our business community the opportunity to learn just that. Using the four directions of the Leadership Compass -- North, South, East and West, participants learned about their natural leadership styles, communication tendencies, strengths and potential blind spots. The aha moment was understanding that effective leadership isn’t about having one “right” style. It’s about recognizing how different people approach communication, decision-making, conflict and teamwork, and learning how to adapt. Thank you to Chevalier Lovett for bringing energy, insight and a highly interactive approach to this Leadership Refresh experience, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation. We are also grateful to our presenting sponsor of the Leadership Refresh series, Rollins College Professional Advancement. SAVE the DATE for the next Leadership Refresh on Friday, Oct. 30!

  • Congratulations Ojette B. and thank you for investing your time in The Skills Studio, our new professional development program for early-career professionals. Seeing it from your perspective and knowing we made an impact is truly rewarding for our team.

For the past seven weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Skills Studio, a professional development experience focused on strengthening the skills we use every day as professionals and leaders. These seven weeks have been amazing, to say the least! One of my favorite sessions was learning how different generations communicate and how those differences show up in the workplace. It was a great reminder that effective communication isn’t just about what we say, but also understanding how others receive, process, and respond to it. A huge thank you to the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and Minette Marcial for creating such a valuable experience. I’m walking away with new perspectives, practical tools, and lessons I can apply both professionally and in the community. And a special thank you to my mentor, Landra Wormack, for always pushing me to grow, stretch myself, and continue developing. So happy to have been part of this cohort and grateful for everyone I had the opportunity to learn alongside!

And this is not your typical corporate training. Expect a fun, highly interactive experience with guided reflection, discussion, practical exercises and even relatable pop-culture examples that bring leadership concepts to life. You’ll leave with: ✔️ Greater self-awareness ✔️ A better understanding of your team ✔️ Practical strategies for adapting your leadership approach ✔️ Tools to strengthen relationships and build more effective teams Register at: https://lnkd.in/dmaeEN32 Thank you to Rollins College Professional Advancement for sponsoring this series.
