📣 The U.S. Supreme Court's upcoming term could have significant implications for intellectual property professionals, trademark practitioners, and innovators alike. The first Monday in October traditionally marks the return of the Supreme Court Justices to the bench, and in the upcoming term, the Court will have several opportunities to break ground in IP law. In the only case so far accepted for consideration, the Court will provide rare guidance on the trademark infringement “likelihood of confusion” test. Additionally, if the Justices decide to grant any of several pending petitions by tech companies, recent controversial USPTO policies and procedures could come into question. Stay ahead of the developments that could reshape trademark law and influence USPTO practices. 📖 Read the latest Vital Briefing by Senior Legal Analyst, Thomas Long: Supreme Court Preview: https://lnkd.in/g-3RqMtH #IntellectualProperty #TrademarkLaw #SupremeCourt #IPLaw #PatentLaw #USPTO #LegalResearch #WoltersKluwer

As AI adoption accelerates across legal, regulatory, tax, compliance, and other knowledge-intensive professions, one question remains: How do we scale AI without sacrificing quality? According to Rajiv Arora, the answer isn't simply adding more human reviewers. It's capturing the judgment, skepticism, and critical thinking that experts have developed through years of experience and embedding those insights into AI systems. Experts don't just know the right answer. They know: 🔍 What looks suspicious 🔍 What evidence should exist 🔍 What exceptions matter 🔍 What questions should be asked next That expertise represents invaluable institutional knowledge. When translated into tests, rules, constraints, and evaluation frameworks, it can help AI deliver both scale and quality. An insightful read for leaders building AI-powered solutions in highly regulated and knowledge-driven industries. #ResponsibleAI #GenerativeAI #LegalAI #LegalTech #Compliance #RegulatoryTechnology #KnowledgeManagement #ArtificialIntelligence #DigitalTransformation
We talk a lot about “human in the loop.” I think we need to go one step further. After 20+ years working across content, operations, automation and AI, one lesson has become very clear to me: quality at scale will not come from asking humans to keep checking the machine. It will come from codifying expert skepticism, the questions experts ask, the exceptions they look for, and the reasons they reject an answer, and embedding that thinking into AI. I wrote this article on why I believe the next evolution is not just Human in the Loop, but Expert in Every Output. Would love to hear how others are thinking about this. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #HumanInTheLoop #AIQuality #MachineFirst #Expertise #Innovation
