  • Work in the OR: how Wolverine operates. 🏥 Right now, our team is working in a surgical area at University of Michigan Health Sparrow in Lansing, working around live operating rooms in an active hospital environment. There’s zero room for dust or disruption. Every surface gets sealed and every step is carefully controlled because these spaces have to stay surgically clean. One of the biggest challenges? Creating and maintaining negative air in the lower level while construction is underway. Our team modified the existing HVAC system to help continuously control and remove construction dust, keeping the work area contained while the hospital continues operating around us.   And the controls don’t stop there. Full PPE is required throughout the work — coveralls, hairnets, shoe covers, and more. No exceptions. 🧰 It’s a different kind of jobsite, with a different level of planning, coordination and attention to detail.   Built for What's Next. #WolverineBuildingGroup #ConstructionLife #HealthcareConstruction #UMHealthSparrow #Lansing #BuiltForWhatsNext #InfectionControl #JobsiteSafety

  • The Bill Brown Alumni Football Center is ready for game day. 🏈    Our team partnered with Western Michigan University Athletics to renovate the spaces where Bronco football players train, recover, and refuel. From the Player Portal to the athletic training room, hydrotherapy space, strength and conditioning room, and Zeigler Fuel Bar, every space was built around the student athletes who use it every day. Congratulations to Western Michigan University and the entire Bronco family. We're proud to help build a home worthy of a championship program. Go Broncos! 🐴 Western Michigan University  #WolverineConstruction #BuiltForWhatsNext #WMU #WesternMichigan #WMUFootball

  • "Ask questions every single day." That's the advice MSU environmental engineering student Christian Catalino has for future Wolverine Construction interns. As a safety intern, Christian travels to projects across the state, putting his studies on load-bearing walls, beams, and cold form steel into practice on real job sites. Along the way, he's learned that enforcing safety means educating people too, since not everyone knows every OSHA regulation. His biggest takeaway? Stay curious, stay connected with your mentor, and the rest falls into place.

  • Eagles, we'll be at the Construction Management Industry Career Fair on October 1 from 4–6 PM in Ballroom A at the EMU Student Center 📍 If you're studying construction management and want to know what it's actually like to work here, from real project experience to the people you'd be learning from, stop by our booth.  One of our interns this past summer, Khalid El-Madhoun, is an Eastern Michigan student. Here's what he had to say about his time with us: "I couldn't have asked for a better internship experience. Every day was something different, and I learned something new every step of the way." We'd love to meet you. 🛠️  Eastern Michigan University  #WolverineConstruction #EasternMichigan #EMU #CareerFair

  • A 98-year-old building in downtown Lansing. 84,000 square feet getting a fresh start. And employees gradually getting back to work while the work takes place beneath them.   At the Michigan State Housing & Development Authority (MSHDA) office, the key to keeping things moving? Phasing the renovation floor by floor.   As each floor wraps, employees move back in while crews keep rolling on the unoccupied floors below. It’s a simple approach that keeps the project moving—and gets people back to work sooner.   We spent the morning with Project Manager Chad Hall to hear more about what’s happening at MSHDA and what it takes to keep a project like this moving, one floor at a time.   One floor wraps. People move back in. Crews move to the next. All to keep MSHDA’s team moving forward and its mission moving with them.

  • Bulldogs, we'll be at the School of Built Environment Career Fair on September 24 📍 This fair brings together Architecture, Construction Management, Building and Civil Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, and HVACR, and we'll have a booth there the whole time. Several Ferris State students spent this summer interning with us, and they'll tell you the same thing: real project exposure from day one, on the job site and in the office. If you're studying in the Built Environment program and want to know what that actually looks like, stop by and ask us. 🛠️  Ferris State University  #WolverineConstruction #FerrisState #BuiltEnvironment #CareerFair
