Carey Pilato reposted thisCarey Pilato reposted thisIf your comms plan starts with "here's what we want to say," don't be surprised when no one believes it. That's the trap. We treat communications like a message-crafting exercise: get the wording right, get the timing right, and assume the rest takes care of itself. Belief comes from matching what you say to what you do, and from earning trust long before you need it. Five myths I run into most, broken down below. What's a myth about communications you keep running into?

The FDA authorized 258 AI medical devices in 2025, but only 2.4% were backed by the kind of trial evidence typically expected before a drug reaches patients."Carey Pilato shared this⚡️Here's this week's issue! • Third-party evaluators in healthcare • Health AI’s consolidation era is starting • AI is moving deeper into drug discovery

Senior leadership appointments have been central to our work at Hanson Search for 24 years, and Hanson Executive now brings that work together under one dedicated practice. Katie Simpson will lead the practice as CEO, drawing on her extensive experience in C-suite and senior leadership search. Alice Weightman, Founder and CEO of Hanson Search Group, said: "Katie has been central to Hanson Search for 14 years and has built a strong reputation for leading senior appointments. It has been a real pleasure working alongside her, and leading Hanson Executive is a natural next step for her and for the business. I'm incredibly excited to see what Katie and the Hanson Executive team go on to achieve." Katie will be joined by Allyson Kurian, who will be bringing her extensive knowledge of both the US and UK markets to the Hanson Executive team. Carey Pilato reacted on thisCarey Pilato reacted on thisNew month, new opportunities! 🚀 I'm energized to be serving as a keynote speaker for Contentsquare's Global Diversity Awareness Month programming, hosted by the organization's Multiculture ERG, later this month. The event is open to all within the global, cross-functional organization who want to learn how to see networking not as a matter of who you know, but as a way to celebrate who you are. Culture and regional ways of working play into this. I'll also talk about the relevance of my three-step process in my book, "Redefining Networking: How to Lead with Your Unique Value" (Routledge, 2026) for leveraging your unique value to the right audiences that benefit from them. Thinking about my own 20-year career in global communications and how I interact with colleagues and clients across the world, there absolutely have been times where my understanding and appreciation of "East and West" cultures, like the ones I come from, have been assets in building trust and relationships. I'm looking forward to engaging with the Contentsquare team. ℹ️ This event is a stop on my "Meaningful Connection in a Transactional World" speaking tour. DM me for more info about how I may be able to speak with your organization about "leading with your unique value," aligning it to your work culture and business objectives. I've had the pleasure of partnering so far with J&J, Wells Fargo Advisors, Chief, Blend, Ticket to Biotech, Boston University, Junior Achievement of Greater Boston, National Center for Race Amity - with sponsorship from Ben & Jerry's and TJX - and others on tour stops. Who's next? 🚀

Carey Pilato reacted on thisCarey Pilato reacted on thisI am delighted to share that on Sunday, October 18 at 9:20 a.m., I will join Amy Atwood on stage for a fireside chat entitled "What I Didn't Know Until It Was Me: A New Lens on Patient Communications." Having spent nearly two decades in pharmaceutical communications, I thought I knew the ins and outs of patient communications. It was after all, the work I loved the most - helping raise awareness of rare diseases, develop programming to fundamentally help a patient community in their treatment journey. But when I became the patient, my perspective changed. There are things we can never truly understand on the pharma side of the business: the nuances of the day to day, the battles with insurance companies, the loneliness in navigating the healthcare system. I bring to you perspective I wish I had known when I was working - the small changes we can make in communications to bring so much more value to the patients we serve. If you're attending, I hope to see you there! #PRSA #PRSAICON #patientcommunications https://lnkd.in/gA47N7Pt

In this webinar, Acceleration Point CEO Scott Thompson sits down with remote work expert Liam Martin to explore how Medical Affairs teams can communicate better, collaborate smarter, and build a strong remote culture without meeting overload. Watch the full webinar to learn practical strategies for asynchronous work, clear documentation, team trust, and measuring what truly matters 👇 https://lnkd.in/eqp--sH3 #MedicalAffairs #RemoteWork #MedicalLeadership
