I initially retained Carl as a consultant to help me better understand and manage my business, an independent same day business delivery service primarily on the West Coast. Early on, Carl demonstrated excellent communication skills; he was readily able to translate the accounting and management buzz words into every day laymen’s terms as they applied to my business. I have relied on Carl to be my one-man Board of Directors when addressing the re-engineering of the business on both the big picture strategic issues level and when making decisions about day-to-day operations. Even when times were tough, Carl continued to come in and work with me on a regular basis without charging me. In these tough economic times, it was refreshing to see someone who put the welfare of others before their own. He helped me to establish and build my company’s brand, and he was instrumental in marketing the business for sale to the industry’s largest players.
