Joe Otto liked thisJoe Otto liked thisStepping into the role of Chicago Managing Partner for Deloitte last month has been deeply meaningful. Having called this city home for 30 years, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many talented local professionals and serve our vibrant business community. A core responsibility of this role is actively supporting the growth and development of our people, and there is no better way to begin this new chapter than by celebrating our newly promoted leaders. Please join me in congratulating the 36 new Partners, Principals, Managing Directors, and Leaders based in our Chicago office. Reaching this milestone is an incredible career achievement that reflects years of outstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment to delivering impact for our clients, our people, and our community. We applaud their achievements and look forward to the positive impact our new Chicago leaders will make in the years ahead.

Joe Otto liked thisJoe Otto liked thisI am beyond grateful for the privilege of serving as Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Chicago office for the last six+ years. It's been an exciting ride, starting from my first day on the job - March 10, 2020. My timing wasn't ideal as my first communication to the office was that we were closing! The photo is me in the office on St. Patrick's Day 2020, getting ready to pack up for what would be a long break from the office and the beginning of life in the "Hollywood Squares." Despite these early challenges, it was the job of a lifetime and I am stepping into a new chapter with deep gratitude and a full heart. I am excited to announce that Wolfe Tone has been appointed as our new Deloitte Chicago Managing Partner. Wolfe cares deeply about Deloitte Chicago, our clients and investing in our City. He's incredibly deserving and I look forward to seeing him represent our 5,800 professionals in Chicagoland. Cheers to you, Wolfe! I am also excited to announce that after a nearly 40-year career with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, I'll be "rewiring" in September and starting a year of study at the University of Chicago's Leadership & Society Initiative: https://lnkd.in/ghrqK2Mu. I'll be continuing my civic work and excited to discover ways to support Chicago's growth and positioning as a world-class city. Thank you to so many of you who have helped me in my career and life journey. It hasn't always been easy, but your support has meant the world to me. The partnerships we have in Chicago are just the best, bar none! I leave this chapter with tremendous appreciation for all that has been, and real excitement for what comes next. In the coming weeks, Wolfe & I will be transitioning and I look forward to connecting him to this incredible community!

Joe Otto liked thisJoe Otto liked thisAs I wrap up my time at Deloitte, I want to take a moment to reflect on such a meaningful chapter coming to a close. Over the last three years as a SHINE marketing associate and intern, I have had the opportunity to support 17 teams across a wide range of specialties, and that breadth of experience has created a foundation that I am excited to continue to build upon. I am deeply grateful for the incredible mentorship and professional experiences I’ve had at Deloitte, but I’m also thrilled to share that I’ll be starting a new chapter this fall, attending the University of Illinois College of Law. I can’t wait to return to Champaign to cheer on my favorite team and begin this next step in my academic and professional journey. Go Illini!

Joe Otto liked thisJoe Otto liked thisTHANK YOU to all who took the time to congratulate me on my 5-year Ana-versary (which is officially this week)! The past 5 years have been the most rewarding time in my career, giving me the chance to have real business-level conversations with a technology that transforms not just the enterprise, but the people in it. I've developed the skills to understand how every line of business operates: Sales, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, etc., and how each contributes to achieving corporate goals. I've enjoyed so many successes, from winning Achievers Club to Peak Performer to Lip Sync Champ to the Alexander Hamilton Award (ikyk). Perhaps the best award I've achieved is happy customers who are realizing the outcomes we set out to deliver by using our platform. In addition to working with some unbelievable people within Anaplan and our partner community, I've been extremely lucky to work with some of the top companies in the world. Thank you to all the past, present, and future Anaplanners who have shaped and sharpened me to be the best leader I can be, and to everyone in my network — past co-workers, friends, and customers — who helped lay the foundation for who I am today as a sales professional and leader. This picture captures, one of community and two, that it is ok to stop and smell the roses which my good friend Jofi Alexander and his #FotoFinishFridays reminds me every week. #RentIsDue
