If you had to think about it, you're not alone. Most cybersecurity marketing directed to CISOs gets ignored, dismissed or deleted before the second sentence. But the reason it dies might be different depending on who's reading it. What gets a nod from a tech CISO might get you blocked/ignored by a retail or manufacturing CISO. And vice versa. At #CyberMarketingCon, I'm putting two top-tier CISOs from both worlds on stage at THE premier cybersecurity marketing event, Nov. 15-18 in Austin, TX. 🎯 Sameer Sait, CISO at Stanley 1913 and ex-CISO Whole Foods, Forcepoint, Arrow Electronics, MassMutual 🎯 Michael Lyborg, CISO at Swimlane and former U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command The session: Two Worlds, Two CISOs: Why Tech and Brick-and-Mortar Buy Security Similar, but Nothing Alike. Big shout-out to Gianna Whitver for providing this platform and bringing together marketing pros from across the industry. This is a live, no-slides, no-pitch conversation where you should expect to hear raw perspectives about what lands, what dies, and what to do instead. Let’s connect if you’ll be there, I’d love to swap stories and strategies in person! 🗓️ Tuesday, Nov 17 | 2:00pm CT 📍 Marriott Downtown, Austin Link to register is in the comments. 👇 #CyberMarketingCon #CISO #DemandGen #CyberMarketing Seemplicity

Megan Horner reposted thisMegan Horner reposted thisClaude Mythos is a pretty good reminder that vulnerability management can’t keep running on old timelines. If AI can help attackers move from discovery to exploitation faster, security teams need to rethink what happens on the other side too - how continuously they assess exposure, how they prioritize, how quickly they remediate, and what they’re measuring along the way. Because “we’ll get to it in the next cycle” hits a little differently when attackers aren't working on your schedule. In this video, Megan Horner breaks down five things security teams should be doing differently in the Mythos era. Read the blog to dig further into what that shift looks like in practice: https://lnkd.in/e3jKpj8x

Megan Horner reposted thisMegan Horner reposted thisWe’re so proud and excited to announce that Tony Thompson has been named a finalist in the Ally of the Year category of the 2026 The Channel Company Women of the Year Awards. 💜 And if you know Tony, you know this one makes a lot of sense. Ask any of the women on the team and we’ll tell you the same thing: Tony is one of our biggest cheerleaders. The first to back you, hype you up, and remind you of your own potential before you’ve had a chance to doubt it yourself. But a LinkedIn caption can only tell you so much. So Megan Horner sat down with Tony for a quick conversation about what being an ally actually means, what men in leadership can do better, and why it matters. From all the women on the SeemTeam, thank you, Tony, for being an ally. And congratulations - so deserved. 👏 𝑾𝒆’𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑻𝒐𝒏𝒚’𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. Megan Horner reposted thisMegan Horner reposted thisGenuinely excited to announce that I'm hiring! My Senior Metrics role just opened up and this is one of the best jobs on my team. You'd own our 1LoD Technology & Cyber Metrics program end to end.. the roadmap, the reporting, and the transparency that leadership relies on to make real decisions. It spans all of our Brands - PayPal, Venmo, Xoom, and Zettle, so you'd sit right where the data meets the people acting on it. If you love turning complex technology and risk data into something clear, defensible, and actionable.. here's what you'd get: → A team that genuinely likes working together. Based in Chicago. 💙 → Work that matters — metrics that drive decisions and actions, not dashboards that collect dust → Room to run, with support from the best leaders in the Industry You'll thrive here if you've created and executed a tech, cyber, or risk metrics program and can translate the technical into executive digestible content. Know someone great? Tag them. Are you that someone? My DMs are open. #Hiring #CyberRisk #RiskMetrics #PayPal https://lnkd.in/d6zsGDhe

Megan Horner reposted thisMegan Horner reposted thisTwo CISOs. Two completely different worlds. One panel. Michael Lyborg is CISO at Swimlane. Sameer Sait is CISO at Stanley 1913, yes, the drinkware company, founded in 1913. One is securing a pure-play tech company. The other is securing manufacturing, distribution, and retail supply chains that have nothing to do with software. Same buyers on paper. Completely different purchase journeys. Completely different marketing that actually works. One takeaway for me: the future of transportation isn’t just about building more infrastructure. It’s about delivering it smarter bringing together capital planning, digital, AI, operations and commercial thinking from the start. A huge thank you to my wonderful PA Consulting and Jacobs colleagues who made the week so productive, insightful and, importantly, a lot of fun. Plenty of ideas, new relationships and momentum to bring back to the U.S. transportation market. Every step in my career has been shaped by women who have influenced me, challenged my thinking and made me better... as a marketer, as a leader, and as a human. And I'm still learning from them today! Thank you! Congratulations to all of the Women of the Year finalists and their allies.
