Merrick Axel liked thisMaya- it was a privilege having you intern with us this summer. Thank you for your hard work, contributions, and professionalism. Best of luck at school and during track this year!Merrick Axel liked thisThis summer, I had the opportunity to intern at Lincoln Liberty Capital, where I was able to gain firsthand experience in the private equity industry. Throughout my internship, I learned more about the different aspects of private equity, gained exposure to real world projects, and had the opportunity to learn from an incredibly knowledgeable team. I especially enjoyed being able to ask questions, hear about different career paths, and better understand what goes into the work behind the scenes. I’m very grateful to everyone at Lincoln Liberty who took the time to teach me, answer my questions, and make me feel welcomed throughout the summer. This experience allowed me to grow both professionally and personally and gave me valuable insight as I continue exploring my interests within business. A special thank you to Pat Auveek Basu, MD, MBA for giving me this opportunity and allowing me to learn from him and the entire Lincoln Liberty team. I’m excited to take everything I learned with me as I head into my sophomore year at Miami University! Thank you, Lincoln Liberty, for a great summer!

Merrick Axel liked thisMerrick Axel liked thisOne of the most rewarding parts of this profession is seeing the different paths that bring people into our hospitals and the impact they go on to make. Ruth Haney's journey with Pine Ridge Equine Hospital is a great example. She first came to Pine Ridge as a client and experienced firsthand the level of care, compassion, and expertise the team provided. Today, she serves as Practice Manager, working alongside our doctors, technicians, and support staff to help ensure every client and patient receives that same exceptional experience and continually looking for ways to make it even better. This past weekend, Ruth stepped into the show ring and delivered an impressive performance, earning three Top 5 finishes, including a 3rd-place finish in large, highly competitive regional classes. Competing both under saddle and in-hand, she and her horse had a fantastic weekend against some strong competition. What makes accomplishments like this even more impressive is balancing the demands of leading a busy equine hospital with the dedication, preparation, and commitment required to compete successfully. Anyone involved with horses knows that the ribbons are earned long before show day through countless hours of hard work and consistency. Ruthie's story is one I love to share because it reflects what makes our industry special. She went from trusting Pine Ridge with the care of her own horse to helping lead the team that now provides that care to others every day. Congratulations, Ruthie, on a fantastic weekend in the ring and thank you for everything you do for Pine Ridge Equine Hospital, our clients, patients, and team members. We're proud to have you on the team. #EquineMedicine #EquestrianLife #HorseShow #PracticeManagement #Leadership #TeamSpotlight #PineRidgeEquine #NVAEquine

Private Equity does not invest in your past revenue. It invests in what your business can become. Kedaara Capital’s $200 million investment in Tynor Orthotics shows what PE really looks for. Not just revenue. Not just profit. PE evaluates: Scale. Market position. Management. Governance. Future growth potential. Promoters often think: More Sales → More Profit PE investors think: Platform → Scale → Institutionalisation → Exit So don’t just ask: “Which PE fund will invest in us?” Ask: “Can our business become an institutional-scale platform?” That is where Private Equity Readiness begins. Funding is an outcome. Capital Intelligence is the advantage.

The Great Recalibration of Healthcare: Why Margin First Now Leads Growth Healthcare investing is undergoing a major recalibration. Investors are shifting focus from growth-at-all-costs to sustainable margins, commercial execution, operational efficiency, and clear paths to profitability in an increasingly selective market. Key Takeaways from: Ross Morton (Nodenza): the old models are quickly becoming broken." Opportunity remains strong in deep tech and cross-border launches. Nola E. Masterson (Portfolia.co): patients are now driving the market, especially in women's health, digital care, and AI-supported tools. IPO exits are largely closed, making M&A the main path to liquidity. Nirmal Patel (Hawk Family Office): AI is helping companies do more with leaner teams, strengthening unit economics earlier. Ambuj Mathur (Indite Ventures): investing can't rely on hoping for a higher exit valuation. AI could also cut drug development timelines significantly. Shaan Gandhi (Pfizer): commercial plans are under far more scrutiny. Go-to-market strategy and reimbursement need to be part of the investment case from day one. Nicholas Watkins (White Cloud Capital): capital still matters, but companies can't be starved of resources either. Bottom line: The great recalibration of healthcare is not the end of ambition. It is the start of a more mature investment cycle. The companies most likely to succeed will be those that combine strong science, patient relevance, reimbursement clarity, commercial discipline and credible margins. Growth still matters. But in this new healthcare market, growth must now prove that it can pay for itself.
