Agile project management is a dynamic and flexible approach that allows teams to respond quickly to changes and deliver high-quality results efficiently. As an experienced Agile Project Manager, I have seen the benefits of effective Agile leadership in driving successful project outcomes. In this article, I will delve into the key aspects of Agile leadership, Scrum, and other project management frameworks, showcasing their importance in today's fast-paced business environment. Agile leadership is all about empowering teams to self-organize, collaborate, and adapt to changing requirements. A great Agile leader fosters a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement. By providing clear goals and direction while encouraging innovation and creativity, Agile leaders can inspire their teams to achieve outstanding results. Scrum is a popular Agile framework that emphasizes iterative development, frequent feedback, and continuous delivery. In a Scrum team, there are three key roles: the Product Owner, who represents the stakeholders and defines the product vision; the Scrum Master, who facilitates the team's progress and removes obstacles; and the Development Team, who are responsible for delivering the work. By following the Scrum framework, teams can effectively manage complex projects and deliver value to customers in a timely manner. In addition to Scrum, there are other project management frameworks such as Kanban, Lean, and Extreme Programming

Day 7: PMP Interview question How do you handle a situation where a key team member is underperforming and could impact future milestones? Answer: "When I see early indicators of underperformance, I act quickly but thoughtfully. I first validate the issue using missed commitments, quality issues and feedback from senior team —so I’m not relying on perception. I then have a private, respectful conversation focused on outcomes, not blame. I ask open questions to understand whether the issue is due to unclear expectations, competing priorities, skill gaps, or personal constraints. In many cases, the problem is systemic rather than individual. Based on the root cause, I take targeted action: clarifying priorities, adjusting workload, reviewing work completed, pairing the individual with a senior resource, or securing short-term support. I set clear expectations, define measurable checkpoints, and follow up regularly. If performance doesn’t improve despite support, I escalate appropriately with the functional manager, ensuring continuity of delivery while maintaining professionalism and team morale. My goal is always to protect the project, support the individual, and keep stakeholders confident.”
